Empire East reviews
12 I came here because I just tooked a break doing UE deliveries and decide to go to a chincese place.
When I ordered the Chow Main Shrimp and a tea, pay and wait patiently. When the girl at the front desk gaved me or receive the plate, for my surprise that looks like something else. For me it does looks like lobster sauce or something, plate looks slammy/sloppy and not apetizing and they didnt gaved me the tea that I request it.
I went back to the girl and explain what kind of food is this one? She reply and told me that I maybe was thinking “Lo Main” and not Chow Main.
But didnt offer an exception of exchange the correct plate.
In addition to this the rice felt uncooked!
Ive been 30 years in Staten Island and have ate chinese all my life.
I dont know what kind of service is this but for sure I wont comeback!
This is a restaurant with poor quality overall.
I know because I am a Chef in NYC and I do UE on the side.
I know what is good service and poor service in the kitchen.
This is a poor service served.
Prices are higher than most restaurants, the quality is second to none on Staten Island, it's worth paying more for. Delivery is usually pretty quick.
FARE. It is not worth the price the fried chicken is not even fried. Crab Rangoon’s are not crispy and the flavor of the sauces are lacking.
The best place for Chinese on Staten Island. Very consistent in service, food quality, and timing.
Shrimp dumplings in hot sesame sauce was outstanding as usual. Ordered roast pork noodle soup. Pork was fatty and small pieces. Veggies were scarce and soggy. Coming here for yrs. Prices up but quality is down. Normally good, but a disappointment. 8/11/2023.
Its take out only.but the mei fun chicken or shrimp dumpling soup is the best really good Chinese food
Great food, a good portion, some might consider it pricey for Chinese food standards, but it is worth it. Like I said, they give you a nice portion, and the quality of the food is excellent.
Food isn’t terrible but don’t you think it’s time to open the eat-in dining area already? ! What are you waiting for? What a waste.
Good Chinese food, a little overpriced but not too greasy like other places. Been going there for years
Always excellent food. Well prepared, very fresh ingredients, they never skimp on the meat and the staff is friendly. The Triple Crown, Beef lo Mein, Beef with Black Bean Sauce and Thai Cashew Beef are my top recommendations.
Good food. A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. No hot tea or coffee available. That's a drawback.
Very good place for chinese food. There wonton is one of the best in staten island, not to mention their pan Asian dishes like pad thai, Yaki udon is also really good. There price is high though.
