Empire Steak House East 50th reviews
17Thank you for fabulous service and AMAZING food! The vibes are great and the interior is beautiful.
Incredible food, great service, even manager was amazing! The filet mignon was perfection.
Elite.
New York has its share of steak houses, but Empire is elite. Tired of the foolishness of Peter Luger et al, go to Empire. Real New Yorkers know. As an executive with an expense account, I have been to them all. Empire confounds every time. Simplicity and sublime from beginning to end.
Ragu was absolutely divine! Staff were exceptional. Really good atmosphere! Will definitely eat here again!
Daughter and I ate pre show
Food was perfect, great and attentive service, oysters supurb
The moment I went in, the host sized me up right away as if I don’t belong there. I told her that I’m meeting a friend and have reservation. She checked on their reservation list and found my friend’s name but then again, she look at me from head to foot with awkward smile. I never feel very uncomfortable going in a restaurant before until tonight. I worked in hospitality industry for years and that’s not how you greet your guess. I already read the comments here and see similar experiences but I still wanna give it a try and I couldn’t believe that I will experience this kind of hospitality.
Went upstairs to burger bar. Good double Bull burger.on point. Service very good by Ivana.
Service was excellent. Atmosphere is ok. They try to create a nice setting but decor is aging. The food was very good. Didn’t try the steak but liked the rack of lamb/lamb chops. Didn’t come with any sauce but they had great seasoning and were perfectly cooked. The mashed potatoes were tasty but very runny. Spinach and broccoli were both good. None of the desserts we tried tasted like they were from in house but weren’t bad. Cheesecake was the best option.
This is such a gorgeous elevated experience with fabulous service and even better food! Absolutely knocked it out of the park! A million out of 10. If you want to impress your date or if you have a special occasion this is the spot! Absolutely can't wait to come back!
Had a business dinner here. They served the largest fillet mignon I've ever had and it was perfectly cooked! The server we had was great as well!
I took my fiancée to see Chicago and afterword we found this steak house. This BEAUTIFUL steak house right next door. A very relaxing atmosphere but extremely friendly staff, and the steak is some of the best I have had in NYC yet! Whether it is before a show or after, get yourself down to empire.
Everything from the top-notch food to the refined ambiance screams old money luxury. But the warmth and dedication to hospitality shine through. I truly felt like family!
I was with my family the other night and we had a wonderful experience
The food was excellent recommend by our server Artan who by the way did excellent job
Great experience highly recommended
Atmosphere was impeccable! Service too! The steak tasted so good that it tasted like candy.
The Empire Steakhouse is a historic New York institution that provides an unforgettable dining experience. Known as the place where Edith Piaf used to captivate audiences with her melodic vocals, this restaurant oozes old-world charm.
The staff's hospitality matches the restaurant's storied ambience. Our server Dino epitomized outstanding service, catering adeptly to our every need throughout the evening. The manager, Toni, warmly welcomed us and graciously allowed us a behind-the-scenes tour that gave us a peek into the kitchen's inner workings.
The food expertly balances classic steakhouse fare with contemporary flair. The porterhouse steak was cooked to tender perfection and served alongside rich sides like mashed potatoes and crispy German potato pancakes. The desserts were decadent crowning touches to the meal.
From its illustrious past to its savory steaks and attentive service, the Empire Steakhouse delivers a memorable fine dining experience that transports patrons back to Old New York. I cannot recommend this gem highly enough for its top-notch food, hospitality, and atmosphere.
The food wonderful however the manger of this establishment on 9-18-20
@5: 00pm was horrible & was very racist I’m from out of town & won’t be coming back to this restaurant he was awful very disrespectful & wasn’t welcoming the staff was amazing & the way he treats them is awful!
Located on the lobby level of The Kimberly Hotel in Midtown East, Empire Steak House holds the essence of the 1920s opera house it once was and will transport guests back to the era of nostalgic New York City. The restaurant is completely reconstructed, replete with an ornate winding staircase, cathedral dome ceiling and the charm and elegance of olden times.
Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail
Four pieces of jumbo shrimp served with delicious cocktail sauce. The fresh shrimp is plump and juicy, and almost feels like eating a lobster tail.
Grilled Octopus
Served with sauteed spinach, cherry peppers, garlic, capers, and spicy olive oil, the Grilled Octopus is a great appetizer to share.
Emperors Steak for Two
Cooked perfectly to your liking, the Emperors Steak for Two features a mouthwatering combination of tender, succulent filet mignon and rich, flavorful New York strip. This is an absolute show stopper.
