Empire Triathlon Club, New York NY

Took a OWS lesson with Doc and can’t say enough good things. She made sure to clearly outline the plan for the day, helped ease my fears getting into the water, and led me through different drills that are sure to help me on race day. I left feeling super confident about my triathlon this weekend. For anyone looking for a great OWS experience, I highly recommend Doc!

A friend and I signed up for a personal training session to meet the open swim requirement for the NYC Tri. So thankful that we made this choice! The trainer, Marty, was very experienced, walked us through what we would want to know, and helped us prepare as first time participants. Would recommend anyone looking to do a tri to find a friend or two and request an open swim session.

This picture captures the moment I encountered the amazing EMPIRE TRI team cheering ME on the 72nd street transverse just @ 100 meters from the finish line & after @ 4: 12: 00 on the course.you and your team managed to "extract" a smile, cause me to forget the pain momentarily and underscore the fact that all the sacrifice is worth-while.

Kudos to You, Doc and the entire Empire Tri organization.certainly a testament to you and your leadership.

Hopefully, I can conquer the elusive swim "leg" on my next Tri.

Took a private swimming lesson with Sam and it completely helped me get some of the nerves out ahead of my tri. Everyone was so nice and Sam took the time to give me pointers about my stroke that really made the difference.

Awesome coaches, eased us back into the water with clear guidance and lots of great tips! Eagerly waiting for the next one!

Alison is an outstanding teacher. We went to an open water swim class filled with trepidation and left thrilled, relaxed and confident. A wonderful experience. I highly recommend Empire Tri Club to anyone!

The open water clinic at Coney Island is such a great experience! The coaches are very helpful in getting you prepared to open water swim in a triathlon event. I would definitely attend again!

While Empire boasts an admirable degree of diversity in the seriousness and goals of members, the camaraderie is the common thread. Such an awesome group of likeminded people. Being apart of Empire has been a big part of me falling in love with the sport of triathlon.

I love Empire Tri Club! I have been a member for 6 years now, after signing up as a beginner. I joined Empire Tri Club to prepare for my first olympic distance triathlon, the NYC Tri. That year I completed 5 triathlons. I have since made life-long friends and I have become an Ironman.

Empire! These folks are the absolute best! If you are thinking of doing your first tri (or are in the process of training for your 50th) this group of fantastic individuals will not only make your journey way easier, but you will have an absolute blast in the process. I have genuine gratitude for this group of fantastic individuals and would highly recommend the group to anyone looking to join a great collection of people.

I enjoyed working with Olof and he was a great coach. I will definitively consider working with him again in the future! I did the Berlin Marathon a few weeks ago and had a new personal record by almost 20 minutes from my last marathon, finishing in 3: 23.

Empire is more than a tri club. Beyond the very skilled and caring Coaches and athletes are an incredibly caring, fun group of like minded folks. You will find every type of person here, every shape, every age group, every race, ; former athletes, first timers, weight loss, all with a common goal - to be successful in training and completing triathlons. Best of all they are doing it with a friendly smile on their faces. Well worth it! Beginners and competitive athletes alike will love Empire.
