Empire Visionworks, Corning NY

I have been attempting to make an eye appointment for 3 weeks. I have called daily and also have tried the online appointment. The teleprompter eventually cuts your call off if you have been on hold. There are no available appointments on any day from here to eternity. I understand all about the COVID related problems and would REALLY love to speak to a human being.

Amazing staff! I couldn’t be more happy with my new glasses! They were clean and fast! Super happy with the prices and sales! Glasses were ready in a week! They were short staffed and still did an amazing job! Thanks for all you do! You’re so appreciated!

My whole family are patients of Visionworks. For one there staff is wonderful, very helpful annd polite. Their prices are very reasonable, they are very informative and have fast service. All products from glasses to contacts are delivered in no time at all. I would definitely recommend Visionworks for your eyecare needs.

I didn't buy my glasses from there, but was in desperate need of an adjustment. I stopped by today, during a busy time and didn't have an appointment. They were able to sneak me in anyway. The gentleman that repaired my glasses was extremely friendly, and is exactly what you would expect from someone in customer service. I was very surprised that it didn't cost anything for an adjustment and new nose pads. I will definitely be purchasing my next pair of glasses from Visionworks in Corning.

Came in to Corning store to have new glasses adjusted and was immediately greeted with a smile and a genuine interest by Autumn. She spent the better part of 15 minutes making sure that every adjustment was to my liking; including replacing nose pieces, bending frames forward and adjusting fit. Not only did I leave with a better fitting pair of glasses but I was very impressed with Autumn's attentiveness and willingness to "get it right".

The staff get things done in an efficient and timely manner. My contacts were shipped to my house for free in a matter of days.

Found the staff to be very rude. I asked about getting pink or blue tints for glasses treated me as if I were crazy to ask couldn't get me any info and talked right in front of me as if I wasn't standing right there and was the one asking for the tints very unprofessional

I have to give a top rating to the service I received here. Having gotten a new script from an optometrist located in Sayre, my glasses were ready in a week. After trying to get used to them for another week, I went back and described my problem to the manager. He referred to measurements from an older script that I had previously gotten filled there; he believed my new script was way too strong. He then arranged for an on-site optometrist to give me a new examination. Significant changes were made to the script from Sayre, and I received new lenses at no charge. I then had sunglasses changed to the new script. I have gone back for minor adjustments, and they were made immediately to my satisfaction. They deserve 5 Stars for the customer service I received.

Excellent customer service, they were able to get me in quickly to see the Dr. & was reasonably priced! Would highly recommend! Thank you Empire Visionworks for a great experience!

I’ve been to several vision works but I am really impressed by this location! Very clean and well managed. I would highly recommend to anyone that needs a good pair of glasses.

We had an issue here a few years back with some bad information on sunglasses. But we tried again this year. Walked in and were given a quote on the price of glasses through our insurance company. After time to find frames and waiting for staff, we finally sat down for the fitting. After that we were told the price. Which was 4 time what they originally quoted and hour earlier. So I mentioned the quote from their staff. The person looked again and gave us another price. Still 3 times what was originally quoted. Then she said, blame your insurance, not me. So we walked out and went to the Empire Vision in Horseheads. Great experience. And the only charged what was originally quoted in Corning. So be very careful of what the Empire Vision in Corning charges you.

Please do not go here! Some of the staff do not know what they are doing. One of the women that works here, scratched up my lens while trying to read the prescription and tried to say that I scratched them. The ophthalmologist didn't get the prescription right and forget that I use no line bifocals so they came without the bifocal. When I talked to him he refused to get a correct prescription and I had to get my old prescription again. To be fair, the manager offered to order new lens for my scratched ones, but I would have to wear the scratched ones for a week. That was not going to do because I get bad migraines when my sight is obscured. With some convincing they got me a pair to wear in the mean time. All in all I got 4 pairs of glasses there and only one turned out right. Horrible experience, and I hope no one else has to go through what I did here.

I was told a year ago I needed bifocals, which I got but never could get used to. The man I dealt with was very gruff and never told me to come back if I had problems. I finally decided to return and just buy a pair with no bifocals so I could at least see far and just use cheaters. This time I had a young lady that talked so quickly I could barely understand her. I had to ask her to please slow down more than once. On top of that she wouldn't let me buy the glasses I wanted because she didn't want to have to adjust them to my head because of the ear piece (even tho they were exactly the kind I was wearing). I now have glasses I can see far away but not up close. NO ONE in this place ever told me about progression glasses from far to near. NO ONE offered to help me when I told them I was unhappy with my glasses and could not see. They just don't care. I will never be back. Its buy and get out. I feel like I've gotten 2 pair of glasses and haven't been able to see a thing in over 2 years. WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED.
