Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Dunkirk NY

Our family reserved a Luxury SUV well in advance (approximately nine months) for a planned vacation. At the time of vacation, we were provided with a brand new Suburban with only 800 miles on it. Prior to leaving for vacation, we were on our way to get gas and the check engine light came on. Due to the shortage of rental vehicles we were provided with a Durango for rental in placement of the Suburban, as this vehicle was not fit for traveling with the check engine light on (the engine itself was noticeably acting up and the vehicle would not go any faster than 30MPH). We are a family of five, so as you can imagine, it was tight fit in the Durango and we were forced to leave some items at home. We were told we would receive compensation. After FINALLY getting ahold of the manager (mind you we had to deal with this during our summer vacation so that we could negotiate on a new rate and not be charged the Luxury rate), we agreed upon $200 for the rental of the vehicle. This was a VERY clear conversation as we had requested to be free of charge and the manager informed us that that was not possible, but could do $200 for the week. He ended up charging us $756 anyways, and continued to say that the Durango cost only a mere $20-50 less than the LUXURY SUV that we were suppose to have received. Upon calling Enterprise back, requesting to speak to the manager to discuss this further, he refused to return our calls. The manager at this location has HORRIBLE customer service and at this point refuses to return any phone calls and instead has his lower management staff taking his calls from us. Staff have laughed us off regarding this matter. We were scheduled for another Luxury SUV rental this coming week and cancelled our reservation due to the incredibly poor service. I would not recommend this facility to anyone in need of a car rental.

My girlfriend call to rent a car last week (April 4th) and was told he had none available because Easter was coming up. We asked if there were any available around the area (Jamestown, Buffalo etc.) and we were told that he checked and there was not. We decided to check for ourselves and turns out there were.

We rented a car for our trip to Chicago. The Toyota Camry had more than enough room & great mileage. Very pleased.
