Enterprise Rent-A-Car, East Amherst NY

Extreme dissatisfaction with my recent rental experience at this Enterprise Amherst, NY branch. The issues I encountered significantly impacted my overall satisfaction and perception of Enterprise.

Upon pickup, I was dismayed by the high level of deception regarding the overall cost of the rental. I setup online for a compact vehicle and on arrival asked if could get the vehicle with lane assist feature and was directed to a compact SUV, (a RAV4 - categorized as compact class per Toyota's site). However, the Enterprise representative failed to disclose that this vehicle selection as a SUV with lane assist feature would inflate the total rental cost by a staggering 60%.

Additionally, the main digital screen in front of the steering wheel was obstructed, preventing the display of crucial car status conditions. Throughout my rental period, it only indicated a need for service from the dealership. This compromised my ability to access vital information about the vehicle's performance and safety.

Upon returning the vehicle, I raised both issues with the Enterprise location, only to be met with a disappointing lack of acknowledgment or compensation for the inconveniences faced. As a loyal Gold Member with Enterprise, this lack of attention to customer satisfaction was surprising and disheartening.

Regrettably, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this particular Enterprise location for vehicle rentals. I hope my feedback helps address these issues and prevents future customers from facing similar frustrations.

Check in and return were quick and easy. Staff picked me up and brought me to the car location. Staff very friendly and efficient.

Excellent service. Had to revise my plans a couple times, and they were very helpful. The car was perfect and just what we needed. Will use again.

Unfortunately, kia got stolen on labor day weekend Auto insurance provided a rental car from enterprise rental The gentleman at desk (sorry do not know the name) was very helpful, answered all my questions patiently provided the best service.

Car doesn't start it says key not detected, very hard starting, starting shakes, darty sets.

Easy in and out on the rental. No problem at all on the return.
The employee acknowledged us when we came in, saying they would be right with us as soon as they were done with the present customer. We were presented with three car options and we picked one and were shown the vehicle and within a few minutes we had keys in hand and were off.

If at all possible, use a different Enterprise location. The first car that was brought out had dog hair all over and was noticeably NOT cleaned by the staff. The second car was highly deodorized to cover up the smoke smell and dirty. When I went back inside to ask if there was anything else available the young lady stated “we have one of the largest fleets, so you’re probably not going to find anything anywhere else. ” The entire vibe was “take it, or leave it”. I ended up taking the car knowing that I would try to replace it with another at a different Enterprise location the next day. The rental is for an insurance claim so unfortunately I have to use Enterprise for the rental or I’ll have to pay out of pocket and wait for reimbursement. Hopefully other Enterprise locations take more pride in the product they are providing to the public. I refuse to believe mediocracy is the new standard.

My experience was nothing short of exceptional. The pick up for the automobile and drop off were flawless and the communication while I had the vehicle was informative and courteous. Would use Enterprise next time in the rental car! Thank you

I have rented vehicles from this location multiple times. The people are always great and answer all my questions Returned a rented Ram 1500 today and received the same great service once again.

They are friendly, very accommodating, cars are clean & they even give me a ride home! I definitely recommend the East Amherst location.

Took well over a month to resolve the issues we had, was told one thing then was told another, no communication.

This is by far the best Enterprise you can go to. Isabel was such a huge help and knows so much about providing you with the right vehicle. If you come in, I definitely recommend working with her on finding the right car for you! She has so much knowledge! Enterprise will help you find the right rate as well as being conscious of your financial needs. 10/10 recommend and thank you Enterprise!
