Equilibrium Firearms, Mineola NY

Gun shops for an amateur is a scary place to be. I just got my pistol permit and visited about 3 gun shops. All of the old crusty men were impatient, rude and quite frankly I don’t know how they’re in business. Then I went to Equilibrium. I met Victor and he spent an hour educating me on what may be best for me. Remember, in NY it’s not like you can go “test drive” the firearm. So the patience and education was welcome with open arms. I didn’t make a decision that day but returned and saw Keith. He was just as giving with his time and knowledge which helped me make a decision right on the spot. He even gifted me with a couple rounds to give my new Sig Sauer a ride! Thanks to the gentlemen here at Equilibrium for making the experience pleasurable. I’ll be back soon for that CZ!

This place is very expensive. They sell everything almost 2x the cost. Examples, the $389 Ruger LCP is $699 there, the Ruger precision that's $1499 is $2400 there, the Riley Defense AK that's $900 is 1650 there, Glocks are $900 there when they are around 5 or 6. Plus he charges that 3% credit card fee. Go further eat and you'll get closer to msrp prices

This shop has a huge selection but their prices are high.like 200 to 400 dollars over what you see on GB.

My husband and I stopped in over the weekend. Keith and Victor were extremely helpful. I wasn’t really sure what I wanted but they were both extremely patient, knowledgeable and not pushy at all. Most gun stores won’t give you the time of day if you don’t know what your looking for. Completely customer oriented and professional. Great new website. If your looking for a new firearms store to go to, this is the one!

I walked into this business for the first time (getting myself a present) and when you are welcomed and the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and walks you through the NY processes, I felt instantly connected. I have found my place. Next to them are other accoutrements (knives) and will visit soon again! I am very impressed. Shop local. Just come in and visit!
