Gym Equinox SoHo reviews
13Probably the best Equinox in downtown Manhattan- has a good juice bar, a set of tables and chairs to chill at, and is well-maintained and is a block away from subway stations.
Dude. Why am I paying luxury gym prices (look up their pricing) when they can’t keep towels stocked EVERY weekend. It’s just absolutely sloppy. Besides trainers monopolizing equipment and other standard grievances.
Edit for 2/5/2023: Today they just didn’t have running water. (Originally I didn’t see an email but one was sent.) Also, towel issue has been an issue every weekend since original review was posted.
By far the best equinox location - amazing staff and trainers, everyone is no nice and friendly - the gym is always super clean - all the machines are on one floor which is perfect!
Front desk staff is rude, wouldn’t recommend joining. Staffs makes it Feels like a low end gym, they too busy flirting with the members
My friend was working out on the treadmill where she had 1 minute to finish her 3 Mile run and the trainer technically harassed her saying her client needed the treadmill. She paid her hard working money too that's very unprofessional and rude don't waste your money on this garbage
Uncomfortable from the minute I walked in. Awkwardly and overwhelmingly crowded. Weird gym layout. Go sign with Bond St or Orchard nearby, you’ll thank me later. Stay away.
Overall, a very nice EQX location. It has a central location, and features a beautiful, light flooded yoga studio. At peak times, the floor can be incredibly crowded, but that's any Manhattan location.
I was ready to sign up, at first I was annoyed because I got 2 missed calls a day and then minimum 5 messages a day confirming. A friend and I went and before hand they requested about 6 times her information, I did not want to hand it over and said we will give it to them when we arrive. We got the tour of the gym - it was a really nice gym but there were lots of questions we had unanswered. Then when we were unsure (because it was so pushy) she asked if we wanted to be followed up with that evening, we said no. Of course we then each get a message asking us if we want to sign up, then another message the next day. Honestly they need to stop being so pushy - as mentioned we were ready to sign up but it is too much hassling people like that.
Looking for a gym to workout in when I come to visit my daughter who attends school at NYU. This gym doesn't offer day pass like most other gyms in the area do. Apparently, they don't like people from out of town or simple don't like the opportunistic revenue source. Thanks for nothing.
The gym is incredibly clean and well maintained. The manager Edwin Rosario is a true professional and works well with his clients to make sure they are happy and heard. I had a great experience overall, even though I unfortunately had to discontinue because of relocation. Cudos to the team!
Rude staff. Im 7 months pregnant and the lady in reception didn’t let me use the toilet for one minute. Inhumane
Got more equipment in my building gym than this location.their equipment is out of date and lacking.
Good gym, great location, a bit small but it’s soho. I’m here 5-6 days a week and happy with the gym. I do wish they would add more equipment because it can be busy at rush hour. Like more machine equipment, an olympic barbell + oly bumper plates, and would fix crash pads on the power rack platform.
