Erie County Auto Bureau DMV reviews
17The woman who was working the front desk needs some SERIOUS customer service training! I have NEVER been treated with such disrespect! The woman at window 8 was super sweet and kind, the only reason for my 3 star rating. Fix your "front door" experience!
I have excellent experience. Manager made call for me and did extra efforts for me to do registration of my vehicle. I had
bad experience at DMV townawanda.employees are very rude. Looks like they need to a course to improve their behavior. Old lady at the first desk was very good.
Arrived at 14 minutes to close and stopped because they don't allow walk-ins then a dude walks in
You should probably retrain your workforce. Went to this office today to Title a vehicle and was told they can’t process a title without paying sales tax.
I do not want a plate or to register the vehicle but the lady at the desk with the biggest grin in the world was thrilled to provide me with wrong information and stand by her conviction that theirs no way she could be wrong. And that I must pay sales tax to get a title. I went to another DMV and called the service line and both confirmed your staff is completely uniformed on what needs to be done and that processing a title is a $50 title fee and I do not need to pay sales tax unless I register the vehicle.
Ignorance never looked so “Karen”
Would give -5 stars if I could.they decided to close walk in Early because they dont want to do there job and I drove 45 minutes to get there expecting to get done what I need this place is a POS
The time before they added appointments was better. Now they manipulate their work hours, whether you get there a half hour before closing or an hour, they simply do not allow you to enter, despite being open.
Worse experience I ever had at a DMV. Customer service was awful, they had no idea what they were doing.
Need to just change the hour’s because I came at 2: 30 they said they couldn’t accommodate anyone if they didn’t have an appointment… only DMV I ever heard that refuses to take you just change the hours
Without a doubt the worst DMV location ever waited one and a half hours just to change my address to find out they never did it
I was racially profiled wouldn’t register my vehicle because the previous owner name didn’t match the signature and the title but it did match so I went to a different location and got my registration and plates everything went smoothly with no problem but I would not recommend the dmv @ transit rd
Waited in line for the Customer Service guy to ask about taking a motorcycle permit test.
"pft, Ha! Those are cut off at 5: 30. Plus you need to schedule it online. "
It was 5: 33. You close at 6: 00. I also just filled out the form to take it before getting in line. If you're already checked out and don't feel like doing your job then get a new job. You're also supposed to be the customer service representative for the location, the attitude is NOT needed. A permit test takes 5-10 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous way to treat people.
You also DO NOT need to schedule them online. According the the NY. DMV website.and the Erie country website I was given to schedule it -
"In our effort to make your visit to the Auto Bureau quick and efficient, appointments are strongly encouraged, but not required. "
So that was just a straight up lie, because again this guy just didn't feel like doing his job because they closed in 30 minutes.
I've been in the customer service industry for 20 years now. This is the most ridiculous power trip/ego stroke thing I have ever encountered from anyone. If you worked under me you'd be fired at the end of the shift.
ECAB Eastern Hills Mall location is lacking organization. Had to visit this location today, after swearing it off 8+ years ago & doing all my DMV business @ the main George Urban location in Depew. Have had no issues @ George Urban given it's much fast-paced, higher volume location. Hopefully it reopens from it's "extended" remodeling closure soon.
The Eastern Hills Mall location opened at 10a, however with a room full of people needing to get DMV business done, 11: 15a they have THREE windows open out of 8 possible. The monitors kept getting "blanked out" to show what series of numbers were getting called, as that sequence seemed suspicious as well. Hopefully I won't have to visit this location again for at least another 8 years.
The initial clerk was extremely rude. The security guard had lazily pointed where to go and I was confused, and then I was belittled and yelled at by the clerk. I will seek other locations after my experience.
People were nice, but having an appointment gets you know where, still had to stand in line past my appointment time only to find out system was down.
Staff got an attitude after I pick up trash in front of her window and handed it to her to put in the trash then proceeded to be rude and unhelpful I went to west Seneca location and got the help I needed first experience like that at that location live in the area all ways used them
0 stars if i could. Do NOT waste your time coming here.go to a different DMV. The workers extremely rude and entitled. Drove 25 minutes to this DMV and they did not even let me inside even though it was open. (and 2 hours before closing!)
I usually never write reviews but this experience was very disappointing and I truly do not wish for anyone else to go through what I went through today…
Really poor service, got their 40 min prior to their closing time, refused to let me in even though there was no line whatsoever!
