Esteves Hardware reviews
9I wouldn't even give this place one star. Don't make a key copy here otherwise you'll be given a key that doesn't work. Customer service is also terrible they won't be willing to return or exchange items for u even though it was their mistake.
They have tons of true hardware items: pipe connections, tools, drywall mountings, things you need to actually fix your home, not just the basics. It is all packed in there, so you probably need to ask for help. The owner is very helpful, and nice as well.
It's a small shop, and can get busy, so if you wait your turn, they will give you great service. If you try to barge in and interrupt, you might not get the service you wanted.
The girl is very nice but the guy tried to overcharge me for a key- very annoyed!
Go to the one on 258 Wyckoff Ave- just a few minutes away and they are honest and better.
Best hardware store in Bushwick. Extremely helpful and friendly staff, and they had an odd piece I couldn’t find else where. Make this your first stop.
Their products are mislabeled on the prices. When I was overcharged, based on the labels on what I bought, I was SCREAMED at on the phone for asking why the price was so high. Really - don't waste your time coming here.
I wouldn't know what their products are like or how their in person service is because the one time I've tried doing business with this place, they hung up on me without giving me any opportunity to inquire about other products/services they offered after informing they didnt have the specific thing I was looking for. Not joking. It was basically "hey do you have this thing? " "no" and then hang up. I tried calling back to ask why they hung up on me and they flatly told me they dont have what I was looking for so "why would i keep talking to you? " and then promptly hung up on me again. Easily the worst customer service instincts i've ever encountered in 15 years of professional contract work after doing business with many hardware stores. Cant imagine their in person customer service is any different. You're running a hardware store, not an emergency room. Learn how to talk to customers if you want their business.
11/10, these guys let me rent a lock cutter when my bike got stuck a couple blocks away and my key snapped leaving me with no other option. Point is, I’m sure they got great service here.
Esteves Hardware is now Los Ñaños. Ecuadorian slang for male siblings. Good prices and customer support.
