Excellent place until today's bad experience. To say that I am extremely disappointed is an understatement. After 6 years of attending this location I will not be going back. Long story short, wax specialists were calling out on day of appointment/ not showing up to work without notice. My time was not taken into consideration as I was not notified that the specialist was a no show before my appointment. The receptionist very careless and rescheduled my appointment incorrectly.

I had my first Brazilian wax today and I had the waxer Lindsey. She knew I was nervous and did her best to make me feel comfortable, she spoke to me the whole time and answered all the questions I had. The wax was painful but quick and the pain is bearable and the results are definitely worth it.

I had a great waxing session performed by Lourdes. If she is still there ask for her, she eased my fears and made me laugh the ENTIRE time! She talked me through everything. The entire location was clean and sanitary. It was cleaned before I entered and again when I entered the room right in front of me.

Yojana G. Is simply amazing. She's always very detailed in her work. She's also caring, it's like having a quick therapeutic session that makes you look good. Yojana G.is wonderful!

I received a comment response from EWC only hours after posting this negative review yet I sent a 500-word email outlining a recent experience with the manager (May) and have not received a response in four days. That’s unacceptable. If I could give this establishment less than a one star rating then they would receive no stars from me.

I have been visiting this location on a reoccurring, monthly basis for the last 18-months and I will no longer be visiting this location. Although the waxers are phenomenal, the manager (May) and her front-desk staff are insensitive and nonsensical. There is always an issue with booking, payments, and/or wax passes. There have been up to 3 mistakes made by the receptionist or a past receptionist in one visit. Plus I am typically seen by a waxer 10-15 minutes after my original appointment time and I typically wait 10-15 minutes to check-out afterwards, so it’s a waste of everyone’s time. The management is non-apologetic for the inconveniences and scheduling or payment mistakes made by the receptionist. I would not recommend locations in the Upper West Side as they are part of the same group.

It was such an amazing experience from checking in to the actual service with Khadajah C, her attention to detail is the best I've received ever! She is warm and makes the usually uncomfortable moment feel great! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND her.

I like the unlimited passes. They are not cheap but if you use them every two weeks it's totally worth it!

Not very skilled waxers caused a good amount of irritation from not pulling them off smoothly. Won’t be going back to this one

Love this place! I met with Miggy and she’s amazing! I’ve never had a Brazilian wax be as painless as hers. I usually don’t let anyone tweeze anywhere but she’s so good at it! I’d recommend her a million times over.

Absolutely love this branch. I’ve been loyal to EWC for years but these women know how to make sure you always have an excellent experience. From the ladies up front checking you in to the lovely Tenika and Isa taking care of you, you wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.

Good service here. Experienced and patient staff. They made me feel very comfortable. I definitely recommend this place.

Best waxed here! I love the wax they use and they support you with what kind of scrub to get to exfoliate and take care of your skin. I’ve had some great waxers and I’d recommend trying a few different ones to pick the one you like best!

I can't even express how pleased I was with this place. Farzana was my specialist and she did an INCREDIBLE job. She was gentle, sweet, carried conversation, and left my eyebrows looking better than they have in a long while. I can't wait to go back!

I love how chill this location is. I always go to Kristina (I’m not sure if I’m spelling it correctly) and she never disappoints. She’s quick and efficient and always remembers my name. They are very lucky to have workers like her on board that make the process pleasant because let’s be honest there’s nothing fun about getting waxed lol. Keep up the good work guys

I'm so glad EWC opened a few years ago on Columbus Ave and 99th Street. Andrea is my go to aesthetician! She is fantastic and I always feel like a million bucks after I see her. Andrea is very professional and very friendly. If you are knew to the neighborhood and need someone for your beauty needs, you should book a session with Andrea.

Jewel was the best waxer I have ever had somehow she got almost every single hair. She was very careful and lovely to talk to. My legs are in tip top shape! Thank you Jewel.

First time, Brazilian.the girl was nice she made me very comfortable we also had a good conversation.just not a smooth as expected I can still feel she left a little hair

Very nice and professional people. My only problem is that every time I went some hair was left behind. I've been about 2,3 times now so I'll check the next time I go.
