European Wax Center reviews
20Great specialists horrible customer service from the receptionist who are rude af.honestly if your gonna be condescending at least don’t sound dumb
I received a botched eyebrow waxing from Rita at this location today, so don’t trust just anyone to provide services just b/c it’s European Wax Center. They clearly have inexperienced people working for them.
I actually love this center and I’ve experienced amazing Brazilian waxes from Breanna, Maria and Rita. But this time? ! Please do not see Selena/Syleena not sure how she spells her name, seeing that I wanted a 9AM wax and I was given the next available wax “specialist. ” All of my previous waxes were little to no pain at all. But this one was absolutely the worse I’ve ever experienced. Who rips wax off as slow as possible? You’re making the process more painful than it needs to be. I’m actually livid as I type this because I’ve never experienced any lingering post wax pain and here I am, lady parts completely on fire. Receptionist was great, think her name was Angelica. But that wax specialist I highly recommend to NOT see her.
Came in for a Brazilian and was super nervous as I haven't had a wax in a while. Nathalie was amazing! She was quick and it was minimal pain! Will definitely be back to see her and have already recommended her to friends!
Really enjoyed my first-time visit here, receptionist was super friendly and Matilda was meticulous with my eyebrows. I feel like the service I got was above and beyond the amount I paid for it. I'll be back!
Love the ladies that do the service.but the receptionist need training over they have no customer service experience it shows there rude nd u can make a appt and still have to wait 5 to 10 mins after the time u schdule smh so not comin here any more i go to 7th ave.
European Wax Center operates a professional, clean, warm and accommodating environment. Maria serviced me. She is kind, knowledgeable and professional. This business is located in close proximity to NYC public transportation (trains and buses) and numerous eateries within walking distance of the Brooklyn Promenade. It is actually close to the location where The Cosby Show was filmed. So cool. I would visit again.
Great customer service. Probably the best I've had in a very long time.definitely the best experience I've had with a wax center. Will definitely come back
Danielle is my specialist, I get a Brazilian when I go here, and the service is the best. She is professional and comforting.
Deceptive advertising, hidden prices and a manager named Jazmin Cruz who is both rude and dismissive.
I got my Brazilian wax done by Rosanna. I had a really great experience with minimal pain. It is reasonable priced and the place was clean. Needless to say, this is now my go-to wax spot.
Awful. My appointment was for 7: 45pm. It was raining and I got there as fast as I could, 5 minutes late. They refused to take me, saying they had a 5 minute late policy. Which was exactly what I was, 5 minutes late. I leave the country tomorrow morning and really needed this appointment. I will not support this company again.
I love love love Nikki she is the BEST! If I can't go to her I just cancel my appointment until she is available. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars because this location NEVER answers the phone, they warn you to call if you're running late but they do not answer. Also when you call back to confirm your reservation they still don't answer. Thats the only fault I see at this location other than that its great.
In person is great but phone service is terrible - put me on hold for extended period of time then hung up on me
Omg being as it was my first time, i was so nervous! However, Danielle the wax technician made it so much less painful! I'll definitely recommend her to nervous/first timers!
Staff were lovely and it was done quick. But because it was quick at times there are some strays that the staff can't get to.
I love European Wax center on Montague street in Brooklyn. It is very clean, the technicians are gentle and kind. I love Nae, she is my technician for life.

I dont know who the hell is working there but that lil' bytch is rude as phuck. I called to make an appt and ask about a bundle package if any and that lil heffa damn near rushed me off talking about 'Well.we have a package but of you want to know about other services you see about it when you come". *Click* Im definitely canceling my appointment when in person. FOH
Helpful?
.
I purchased a package last year and couldn't wait to be done with their asses. They are the 'Leave Enough hair to make a winter coat" Clan.
.
The only persob worth a praise is Olga (sp). She'll get you right.
I like the women who actually perform the waxes, but as for the tellers in the front desk, they should be required to tell the full truth about the bundle packages that is advertised to "save" money. I was told, every time I come to get waxed, the prices from the packages will be implemented. They purposely forget to mention that with the packages comes monthly payments, even if you do not come to the spa for a waxing.
I canceled and rescheduled my October appointment in a timely fashion because I knew I would spend money for my birthday. The following week, I see in my account pending charges from the waxing center. That surprised me. I called and I was told that in 48 hours, the manager will call me back. 48 hours has past and the manager has not returned my call.
So my warning for anyone who is new, do not get the bundle packages if you do not want to make monthly payments, especially if there is a month that you do not want to get waxed (for whatever reason). It is more cost effective if you pay the regular price anytime you go to the spa to get waxed, especially if you have set a monthly budget for yourself. I am now in the negatives within my budget for October, which I will rectify by canceling and getting my money back from the waxing center.
The girl at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, also the wax specialist I saw was rest I will definitely go back to her she is really an eyebrow expert! I have been to several EWC (Paramus, W 57, Gramercy, and this one, and I think this is my new favorite but they’ve all been pretty great. I have a prepaid wax plan which makes it really convenient because all I have to do when I show up is pay gratuity for the services. I really recommend EWC to someone looking for a clean, professional spot to get waxing. The wax they use hurts less and you never have to worry about getting a disaster wax job like I’ve had in years past when I would get cheap wax jobs in nail salons or threading spots.
