EVEN Hotel Brooklyn, an IHG Hotel

I tried cancelling through Priceline the night before via chat. Then I called to cancel today, accepting I would lose one night’s of fees.

There’s no cancellation button in app.

On the phone, Priceline will not* offer me refund.

My lesson:
- book through trip advisor or Expedia where I do not* pay fees upfront

I reserved one week in this hotel. Honestly, the employees are really professional and I’m feel sorry for them to work in this hotel.

We have been assigned to a room in 10th floor and it was horrible, small, weird position of sport equipment, hair dryer with short wire and cannot been lengthened. Especially the weak air conditioner was finally broken on the forth day.

We requested an investigation by engineer at 22h on Wednesday but until 23h no one came. Thursday we asked again at the front desk and finally they sent the engineer immediately, and of course the air conditioner is broken.

Fortunately they gave us another room at 11th and it is much bigger and all the problems we had at 10th floor didn’t happen again.

By the way I saw a cockroach in the gym, he was alive.

I gave 1 star thanks to the employees, otherwise I would like to give them 0 star.

If I had to describe it in one word I would say impeccable! Every detail of the accommodation was perfect and just right. The rooms are bright, pleasant and cozy, as is the service. It's worth the experience.

We had a fairly nice 2 night stay. The location is amazing, the room was nice and clean (just get rid of the "excercise machine" to improve storage space). Only downer was that only one elevator was working so it made for some long trips in and out. Overall I recomend it and would certainly go back again, as long as the solve the elvator issue (june '23).

The accommodation is pleasant and everything was very good. I saw one of the most beautiful sunsets of my life! The room, if I could, I would live in it. The breakfast was great and all the staff are kind and attentive. The hotel made me feel at home. The infrastructure is incredible.

Our room was small with a door to communicate with the room next door,
The services are not at the level of a 4 star. The room renovations are of very poor quality.
The air conditioning worked very poorly, we had to change rooms which were better. The hotel team is very helpful and does its best in this hotel which is no longer up to standard!
We asked if it was possible to leave the room at 2 p.m. And not at 12 p.m, we were told yes without problem but without warning that this would be charged $75. This is clearly a hidden scam. Very disappointed with this establishment and this chain in general.

The hotel has great service, if you want a place to stay with your family, this hotel is for you.
