14 I had a great experience here until I went to leave. The rooms were clean, service was fine enough. But while checking out, I left my bags with them as you do.
I come back later to retrieve them, as you do. I am the only person at the desk, she radios the luggage guy and he doesn’t show up for over 15 minutes. Apparently there are no spare keys to the luggage room and nobody can get in the luggage room except for one singular person. Normally, I wouldn’t care but I was trying to catch my train. I expressed this frustration as now, I am in dangerous territory of missing said train. Again, no answer on radios, no back up keys nothing.
So what is supposed to be a service and plus of leaving your luggage behind, has turned into a nightmare with a missed train.
I highly recommend keeping a spare of some sort with the front desk to avoid this extremely inconvenient and avoidable circumstance.
Other than that, hotel was perfectly fine. But don’t check your bag unless you’ve got time to spare.

It's a great hotel, everything is clean, the staff are polite. A place of peace if you are thinking about going on vacation and don't know where to go to this hotel you won't regret it, everything is beautiful

The location of the hotel is very good. The beds are also comfortable. Unfortunately, the rooms are very narrow, although innovative storage space is provided. The windows are not so well soundproofed or do not seal so well. Therefore you can still hear the loud New York background noise. The terrace is very pleasant. Here you can take a breather or have breakfast. Since there are two small supermarkets nearby, you don't have to rely on a hotel breakfast.

I wish there was 0 rating. TV out of service first 1.5 days, same with internet. Compensation not even we are sorry. Basically take it or leave it. Paid for upgrade to a corner room. View of brick wall and about 10 extra feet for about 50.00 per night. For staying the “resort fee” 35.00 per day got “a free drink”. Tried to order a Baileys and a White Russian, did not count for your “free drink” Only a beer or house liquor with soda etc. If you want ice, all machines are broken so need to go downstairs to lobby if you want ice in your room. Thank you for a memorable stay unfortunately it was not a positive stay.
Well located hotel, quiet street for peaceful sleep, but limited breakfasts and little choice of sweets.
The location is good. Close to lots of restaurants, landmarks, and subway.
One star because the wifi was down for more than 4 hours (still counting) due to the maintenance of power generator. The power is back but not the wifi.
The staff said it would not affect the Internet but apparently that's not the case.
The view from the top floors (we were on 27 but 23 or 24 would probably also clear the neighboring building as well), north facing were beautiful as there were no buildings blocking our view).
Staff were all friendly and courteous. Interior of rooms are modern and updated.
The 2nd floor bar and balcony is nice too. (Open to guests). Lots of convenient food options around the area.
They have discounted parking with the valet garage across street so FYI.

Loved our stay at the Even Hotel! We stayed 4 night. So close to Grand Central making it easy to get around the city. Staff were friendly. Rooms were modern and clean. Good food options nearby. Highly recommend.
