I waited for 45 mins and asked how much longer the wait would be (as I had to get back to work). Nobody could give me any information. After 55 minutes of total wait time I had to leave without seeing the doctor. I sent a text message to reschedule (because that’s the only way to communicate) and received no answer either.
The negative reviews are accurate

Dr Monica Simons is extremely unprofessional and ill-mannered!

I had an appointment at 10 AM. I waited for 40 minutes for Dr Monica Simons. When Dr Monica Simons finally showed up, I informed her that I needed to leave as her tardiness caused me to be late for a work appointment. Dr Monica Simons did not apologize and responded very rudely with: "Then leave". I informed Dr Simons that I would like to be refunded the 15 USD I paid while checking in. She said I could call the assistant to "possibly be refunded". I said that I wanted to speak directly to the assistant, who then informed me I shouldn't have had to pay for the type appointment and will be refunded. I left immediately and will never return, such an unpleasant experience. FYI, I believe her reviews on ZocDoc are fake. Please look at the Google and Yelp reviews!

I will be looking for a new provider. I used to be extremely pleased with this provider/practice, but the service the last year has been beyond unacceptable. No one responds to messages, voice or text. There are many options for providers who respect and appreciate their patients. I will find one who will respect me.

I agree with quite a few of the reviews that are posted. I was really happy with the provider and the facility for quite some time. I’ve been going here for five years, but within the last year things have dramatically changed for the worse you can’t get through to anyone you can’t make appointments online texting and calling which is suggested doesn’t work. The mailbox is always full so you can’t leave a voice message and no one responds to text. The staff is extremely rude and I’ve been hung up on several times for no apparent reason it’s really unfortunate especially when you really need the help and the service that’s necessary. I will be looking for a new provider as well. It’s just so unfortunate that people don’t care especially in this industry. Overall so disappointing & don’t waste your time here.

Impossible to reach, not responsive, bad bedside manner, incredibly long wait times, rude staff. When you are seen, you are rushed so they can get to the next patient.

I’ve been a patient here for 8 years, but will not be after today. The last 2 visits have been filled with long waits, rude staff, and inattentive doctors who don’t take the time to answer my questions.

When Simmons was on Broadway the staff was helpful, l and welcoming. I always felt seen and heard by Dr. Simmons during our appointments. Now that they’re on 5th Ave, the wait times are an hour+, the staff doesn’t work directly for Simmons, and Simmons and Cuervas are rushed through appointments.

I actually just left without seeing Simmons after waiting to be seen for an hour and 15 minutes. It’s sad, but can’t recommend any longer.

Clean office, friendly staff, all went well, just not the care you want from a doctor.
If you are looking for time and care to be taken into consideration during your appointment/treatment, this is not the place/doctor for you. The lack of care being put into my visit and answering any questions I had was minimal and disheartening. If you are the type of person that likes to know what's going on in YOUR body, try another practice, this one will disappoint you. The answers I received were short and careless with no elaboration. As patients we deserve to be educated and feel comfortable in such a vulnerable setting.

I was told within an hour of my appointment that my Nexplanon insertion was canceled because they didn’t know that’s the service I wanted even though I indicated it on their required form. You can’t even call their main line during the day, and the front desk staff don’t actually work for them so they can’t really help you with anything. Very disjointed administration.
