Elaine took such good care of my kids. She spent a significant amount of time teaching the kids proper flossing and brushing.

I’ve been going to evydent since 2014 and liked the practice for its forward looking politics and Dr. Evy’s professionalism, but in the last few years, I’ve been disturbed by slick methods of billing and recommendations of things that I don’t need; not to mention that after each visit I am not allowed to leave the office until someone calls to confirm payment this is even though my credit card is on file.

My last visit for the yearly cleaning, which is what I’ve limited the practice to because it’s convenient, again they said “you’re due for an X-ray”, I’ve come to know to say No, but this time around I thought maybe it’s a good idea. I had no idea I’d receive an invoice from them for $100 because insurance didn’t cover the X-ray. Insurance didn’t cover it because they do too many. When I contested this charge they threatened to send the account to a collection agency. I had to make multiple calls to the office manager in order to address it. It’s still on my file as unpaid. Office manager said it was “unethical” for dentist to do a cleaning without knowing that everything is ok. It’s Another example of medical practice participation in the high costs for healthcare—Evydent bills astronomical prices and performs unnecessary procedures.

Another sneaky practice I’ve consistently had to decline, is the recommendation for fluoride, they make after each cleaning that costs an extra out-of-pocket $20. Why do I need Fluoride that they quickly brush over my teeth? If it’s that important, why isn’t it a part of the service they offer?

The hidden fees and price gauging is not ok, I wonder if it is targeted at people of color.

Live love love this dentist! The entire staff is extremely kind and knowledgeable. The facilities are clean and a happy bright orange They clearly helped explain all my charges and options and were flexible with my scheduling. Would recommend!

My visit to Evydent Dentistry surpassed my expectations. The office was clean, neat, filled with items for those waiting their turn, be they children or adults. By the time I finished filling out the initial questionnaire, it was my turn to go in. The staff was exceptionally nice and competent. Elaine, the assistant took photos, xrays, cleaned my teeth and helped me get ready to see the dentist who was also extremely competent and friendly. The equipment was up to date. I was even able to watch television while I was having dental work done. My old dentist retired. I am glad to say that I have now found my new one. Highly recommend, plus, Evydent donates to local events by taking full page ads out in the art guides. Nice community spirit.

I have been bringing our children here for the past 6 years and the staff have always been friendly and professional. They continue to inform us of everything going on in their mouths so that we can be proactive. The office is clean and has a lot that is geared towards children. The staff are patient and the kids have plenty to keep them occupied as their teeth are being cleaned. The time flies by. I said a year ago that while neither of our kids WANT to go to the dentist, this has been a good experience for them. Our experience continues to be a positive one, even as they become teenagers.

This neighborhood dental practice is a gem. Staff is courteous and professional. The facility is clean and bright, modern equipment & most important, the dentist is top notch. Explains everything carefully so you understand and is genuinely caring and concerned. It’s an all “girl” squad! Recommend highly!

I had an excellent experience with Evident: a very nice office and clean, modern dental space. The hygienist (Elaine Vasquez) was awesome and pointed out where I needed to improve, which I appreciate.

I had a couple of dental issues to address, and I got options and opinions from Dr. Shiau and Dr. Evy. I walked out with printed (and emailed) detailed estimates of every choice we discussed, including cost estimates. I can't ask for more than that.

I have been seeing Dr. Evy for the past 4 years. Though I absolutely love her personality and professionalism. There is always a hidden fee and I am frankly tired of it and will be looking into another dental office. I came to the office last week and was told that I had a year old charge of $50 for X- ray and I was never contacted regarding the pending fee. I was told my insurance did not pay for it because I apparently had done too many X-rays too frequently. I clearly informed them that I had one on file already but they still insisted I do another, and now a year later I'm paying for an X-ray that I didn't need to do. I get charged for every little thing, one look into my mouth $75 exam fee, or $65 fluoride and these prices fluctuate. In addition to being charged $112.00 for dental instructions.
Yes, I am annoyed at the lack of respect and transparency. Also, I hate being held hostage after my cleaning despite having a card on file, they refuse to let me out every single time. I wonder if it's procedure for all customers or just the black ones?

Went to Evy's practice to service what I was told was a high end porcelain crown that cracked. My options were to consider getting an implaiint or have the tooth extracted for good. I opted to have the tooth removed. I recently had some discomfort in that area and went to get a second look from another practice. They took a full mouth 3D X-ray and advised me that the service Evy, performed was done poorly. Tooth fragments were left in my jaw, which now has left a noticeable lump along my jaw line.to make matters worse, the area where the tooth was extracted never healed properly causing the gums to separate and reopen. Wasted money for poor work, and now I have to find a new dentist and pay to have them fix someones else's mistake.

I was desperate for a dentist that would actually take the time to talk to me and explain my options regarding losing a bad tooth.

This is the first time I've been in front of a female dentist and I will never look back. Dr. Evy is amazing. Compassionate, kind, sympathetic and clearly very good at what she does.

I feel so much better talking to a doctor who understands how devastating losing a tooth can be to a woman's self - esteem.

I have had some traumatic experiences with dentists, and I can say that today was the first time I was in front of a dentist who genuinely cared about my concerns, and was willing to work with them.

She's phenomenal, she was recommended by a co-worker and I can see why my friend loves her. I will never go to another dentist again, Dr. Evy is my last stop.

From the time that Elaine greeted me in the waiting room to the end of her cleaning of my teeth I felt comfortable and confident that she knew best what i needed for a healthy exploration of my dental needs. It’s always a pleasure to work with this young technician...

In addition to the physical space, the service is very good. The entire staff is very nice and careful.
The dentists are all aware of fears of pain and are patient to ensure you are comfortable before work starts. I've had excellent care. I've had several problems and they are addressing each and helping to fix the problems, professionally and with kindness
