Been a patient of Dr Charms for two years and find him to be knowledgeable, friendly and always willing to talk through my needs with patience and understanding. Had a cleaning with Lily and she was also thorough in talking through things as well as great bedside manner.

I had such a great experience with Laney and Mario I believe his name was. They were both so great and professional and would highly recommend this place! I also love that they were available on weekends, which is unheard of.

I am returning for my third 6 month check up with Dr. Ma and Saba. Dr. Ma is very clear and not an alarmist. She explains everything well. I always ask for Saba the hygienist. She is very pleasant, does a great job and is very thorough.

Stay away from this dentist at all cost, even if you have good insurance. They will try to milk your insurance dry and charge you obscene amount of money out of pocket. They also offered multiple shots and medication that I did not require. Saying I needed 5 antibiotic shots in my gums at $75 a shot. Then They quoted me $300 for a crown and then I came back for my appointment a week later and they suddenly bumped it up to $600. Saying that I needed a different material suddenly.

I went to see a different dentist and, I had no cavities, had no problems with my gums that needed antibiotic shots, and the crown was covered by my insurance. Don’t be fooled by the five star reviews. These people are Scam Artists and are milking people dry.

My experience at this dental office was extremely disappointing. I encountered a serious complication following a procedure, which the staff did not acknowledge or take responsibility for. Furthermore, they quoted a staggering $13,315 to rectify the issue.

The patient relations department, particularly one lady, was unhelpful and seemed more interested in deflecting blame rather than addressing my concerns. Attempts to escalate the matter to higher management were denied, leaving me without a platform to discuss the situation further. As a physician, I understand that complications can occur with any medical procedure. My approach, however, has always been to support the patient and address any complications to the best of my ability, minimizing any additional burden on them. This approach was starkly absent in my experience with this dental office.

Financially, this experience has been burdensome as well. The procedure exhausted my insurance coverage, forcing me to bear the costs for the necessary corrective treatment out of pocket.

Additionally, there were some occasions where punctuality was an issue. Despite arriving on time for my appointments, I faced over 30-minute waits without an acceptable explanation.

Based on these experiences, I do not recommend this dental office.

The saving grace of this dentist office is Luke Charms. He is amazing. Couple of reasons I won’t be going back to this office again. 1) They have been late starting on my teeth for the past couple of times I’ve gone. Whether the appt is 9am or 4pm, they are going to be late. 2) They overbilled my insurance for a procedure (more than they said on paper they would bill), to the point where I’m having to pay for a standard cleaning appointment. If you have an insurance with a yearly max on what they will pay, DO NOT GO HERE. Only come if you have an insurance where there is a max amount per procedure that is already predetermined. Or you will be paying $200 for a standard cleaning and fluoride like I just did. I don’t blame them for my meh insurance, but that over billing and constantly being late has me done.

Edit: A very kind manager reached out to me today to present some solutions to the issues I raised.

Came here years ago. A female periodontist I believe saw me. Without going into much detail, her “ego trip” got in the way of her professionalism and work, her coworker/dentist even saw it and was shocked, she also made a mistake, and the list goes on.

The only thing I WASN’T harassed about was payment (probably because I was paying with credit for cosmetic work). They were happy with their payment.

Had a known this place was going downhill so far for so many years, I would’ve left a post sooner. Also, heard most of the the five star postings are left by people who are bribed with a free Starbucks gift card. No wonder.

Excellent practice, flexible scheduling, was done with X-rays/cleaning in 30 minutes! Appreciated the thorough exam done by the dentists here. Theresa was an excellent dental hygienist and was wonderful to work with.

The worst experience ever. Charging big money for nothing. Pls stay away from this clinic.

Went in for a x-ray for wisdom teeth and the doctor asked to perform the extraction on the spot. They quoted me 2k+ out of pocket add on procedures which I tried to dispute but was told were necessary. Always get a second opinion and don’t succumb to the pressure like I did.

The office refused to honor an appointment that I had confirmed and made over a month in advance.

Consistently positive experience at expert dental; runs on time and good availability for appts

I had general dental cleaning followed by a dental implant procedure. Everything was easy and well managed; they provided excellent service from start to finish, which I very much appreciated. I’ll continue to use Expert Dental as my primary care dentist. Thank you Dr. Ma, Dr. Miller, and the entire staff.

Dr. Khezri is amazing and has changed my outlook on life. I can now smile which I have not been able to for the last 15 years. They do full mouth rehabilitation and they are the best! The whole office is professional, honest and so caring. Special shout out to Rubina who helped we through the whole process from day 1 that started 1 year ago. Her warmth, kindness, patience and smile has been so comforting through my journey with Expert Dental. This office has truly changed my life and changed how I see the world. Thank you Expert Dental team!

Dr Lee is great. She is very gentle and reassuring. This was one of the best experiences I’ve had at the dentist in a while

Great place! Front desk staff is very professional, kind, and helpful. Dentists are good too.

Do not recommend getting your teeth cleaned by Mario. I’ve never had water sprayed all over my face at the dentist during a regular cleaning.

Incredibly predatory and unethical dental practice that also does poor work. They told me I urgently needed thousands of dollars of work done, despite the fact that my teeth were fine when I saw my previous dentist 6 months prior. They botched a routine filling, were rude and charged 5x the price of other dentists in the area.

A receptionist explained the "treatment plan" to me because the dentist just rushes in and out. I told her I only wanted to do one filling and she tried to get me to sign a contract stating that I would be financially responsible for all the work I didn't want to do. I pointed out that it would be unreasonable for me to agree to pay for work that I didn't want and she got incredibly mad at me.

I did let the dentist do one filling, which was a mistake. The drill broke in the middle of the filling. He told me he "needed" the broken drill but could manage with something else instead. Afterwards, I couldn't eat on that side of my mouth for a few weeks without excruciating pain, and it took about three months for it fully to subside.

Following the filling, the receptionist tried to overcharge me with the uninsured price - which I highly doubt was a mistake after her previous anger at me. I subsequently found another dental practice in Midtown East - blocks away - that charged 5x less, with the same insurance.

Great service, friendly staff. Hygienists give great advice to get your teeth healthy. Would recommend!
