Extra Virgin reviews
14We chose this as our Valentine's Dinner while visiting NYC. I will say that this place is definitely on the higher end price-wise; however, the food and drinks were amazing. We had the salmon and lamb, and I would highly suggest both dishes. The staff seemed a bit pushy at times, but all in all, the service was great, we had a great dinner, and the ambiance was one I will not forget.
Great food, vibe, and service. Recommend the jalapeño margarita, boulvediere, the prosciutto wrapped scallops! Husband also got the lamb which he liked.
They VERY INTENTIONALLY dont tell you that theyve already included a tip in order to try to get you to unknowingly double tip.extremely dishonest!
Would rate 4.0 at best. Service is good, food decent, but way overpriced compared to similar type restaurants in the area
Nice place. I disagree with the description as "Mediterranean" since in today's mindset, people confuse that with a place that serves gyros and falafel.
Extremely slow service, usually takes over 25 minutes to get my food. Place is also always a complete mess. And for whatever reason, they close off most of the seating area at 10pm when there are still plenty of customers so there aren't even enough tables.
Amazing food, served quick but not too quick that it is suspicious:) great service and great location. Alcoholic beverages are expensive though, beer is $9 for a bottle.
Disappointing. Slow service, lobster sliders were anonymous seafood slush, fish was a bit flavourless and asparagus with parmesan was tasty but just as described, with nothing extra to offer. Can do better for the price.
Visited Extra Virgin the first night of a weekend in NYC. We had a drink in the bar and then had dinner. Our server Lacy was AMAZING and brought us the most delicious dishes to try. The cocktails, appetizers, dinner, and dessert were all superb. It is a small restaurant but had the perfect atmosphere and great energy. We ended up making friends with the table next to us and left with suggestions from Lacy for where to go next. I cannot wait to go back!
Reservations at this great spot are definitely recommended. We were super hungry and stumbled across this place in the village but we did not have a reservation. The host was super super accommodating and actually had two seats at the bar which we gladly took. It was very busy and I can definitely see why. The food was excellent the service was incredible I would go with here again and again. It's too bad my trip was only a few days long.
The food was pretentious and not very good. We ordered the lobster ravioli and the red snapper and both lacked flavor. The scallops were small and over cooked. Our friends ordered the sea bass, and said it was good. They did get our order incorrect and briefly tried to act as though it was our mistake. The ambiance and our waitress were both nice, but so many other great options in this area, I would choose another place.
Very cute restaurant, locted in a lovely area, food is fresh, tasty, light and excellent, great staff.
Great place for a date. It's very close quarters. Waitress was great. Everything was great minus the over done fries with my food. My main complaint was no air conditioning in an otherwise packed restaurant so it was especially warm in there on a humid night.
Not my scene. Food was fine. Inside is cramped. Probably better if you could sit outside. Nice staff though!
