Fairfield Inn by Marriott New York Manhattan/Financial District reviews
20Rooms are small and basic but the location and price (at my deal $60 a night) make up for it. Right near the seaport and a train ride away from other tourist spots.
Just stayed here from Saturday till this morning and I will say I am highly pleased with the front desk staff. I believe the woman whom worked at the front desk is named Marissa but if I am wrong I am so sorry. She is amazing! Let me just say from check in to check out, she gave us amazing service. Due to the heavy snow storm this week we were snowed in which made it more cozier. We appreciated the accommodations that were made for us due to noise on one floor and most importantly for lending us a snow shovel for us to be able to shovel out our car. Marissa thank you! We will definitely be returning and booking more rooms!
Your guest this weekend at 1406!:)
Hotel needs to be updated/remodeled. I very much enjoyed the bed, linens smelled good, and cozy medium fluff pillows. The room was tiny. The shower was great. Vending machine is cash only. Front desk was not particularly friendly. We were at first assigned a room that we came to find was not turned over. I found that to be a big mistake to have us enter into an unsanitary, uncleaned room considering covid.
The hotel staff was very courteous and kind. Rooms were a bit small but clean and designed well. Thats to be expected in NYC of course. There were lots of outlets for devices and the room fridge worked really well. The beds are comfortable. The location was very convenient to transportation and the neighborhood is very safe. Lots of eating and shopping options in the area. Overall a great value
The staff is very accommodating. They are always asking if you need anything. We went there for a weekend. It was wonderful!
Just a bed for the night, but a decent hotel. Has free breakfast. The one thing is that there are only two elevators for the hotel so the elevator can take a while at certain times of day, but the staff was friendly and it was clean.
Clean, quiet and comfortable. Love this place. Second time staying and will come back to it. Best pizza just around the corner and easy access to subways just a short walk. We can’t wait to come back.
Nice location if you need to be in lower Manhattan. Rooms are smaller than average but I only needed a place to stay while I attended a business conference. Breakfast was crowded but sufficient.
In downtown, basic hotel with not views. U get to face a concrete wall. The access to the wall Street and river front great.
Pros-
The staff was very pleasant and helpful. They we also accommodating.
The bed was comfortable.
The rooms were clean.
Good for the price.
Cons-
The room was smaller than expected. Pictures were a bit misleading.
The walls are thin.
Breakfast options for gluten free or vegan guests quite limited.
Too many flying bugs (gnats maybe) in the breakfast area.
Construction so loud.
Obstructed view from room, but fine if you have a busy itinerary.
The Fairfield is a nice updated hotel. The rooms are small but spacious for New York City. They have a bar on premise with food. It is a little difficult to get to if you are in the midtown and uptown area, but not too hard. I'd recommend this hotel to singles and couples looking for a nice clean location to stay at in NYC at a reasonable price.
Clean, new, reasonably priced hotel downtown. Some of the rooms have a view of a wall, but that's not surprising for this area. The nautical theme was sometimes tasteful, sometimes a bit corny, but overall I'd stay here again.
Hotel does not tell you what they are going to charge you for and it costs way to much for a room the size of a closet. Terrible service.
Good rooms, the fimter was extremely dirty for the AC, kind staff, and free breakfast was underwelming
Breakfast was nice. Rooms A. C.works really well which is great when it's hot and muggy outside. The room is small, very small and the tv won't let me use HDMI. It's a good price for what you get but just know you can't stretch out
Decent rooms. The single king room is a bit small for my taste. Friendly and very accommodating staff. Valet parking ok (no in n out privileges).
I loved every minute of my stay, clean room, great breakfast, and very kind and supportive staff.
Convenient if u want to do the 911 tribute. Complimentary breakfast was good and late night front desk man was so kind
Best Hotel location wise, attractions are at walking distance, Hudson riverwalk is at walking distance, king size room is small, staff is great to help you, breakfast is good.
Excellent room with Seaport theme. Excellent shower and Excellent breakfast that last until 11am!
