Great location 10 minutes to nearest subway which stops at major stations. Centrally opposite. The elevators can take a long time to get to the desired floor.
Breakfast more than enough choice.
Our room was very small for 4 people and the closet wasn't big enough. Therefore a star deduction.
We loved the small fridge in the room.
We would come again.

Stayed here for a staycation. Service was mediocre, front desk agent did not know 4pm late check out is guaranteed for Platinum member. Breakfast was from 6: 30-9: 00 which was ridiculous but I guess they don't want people to come for breakfast so they can save some money. Room was small and outdated but clean. Housekeeper forgot to refill body wash, also she knocked the door around 11am because she did not know we requested late checkout (very common Marriott mistake). Elevator was super slow and there were only 2, be prepared to wait for 5+ mins for it.
Also I'm still waiting for the points and night to be posted to my account. It's been 4 days since checkout, all other hotel chain groups posted within 48 hours, but Bonvoy is Bonvoy, what can I say.

Torn on this review. Ultimately dropping to 3 from 4 because of multiple inconveniences. I had to move rooms 3 times. The first time I was accommodated immediately, the second time we had service come up and try to fix the AC. It worked for about 20 minutes then suffered a warm muggy sleep. The last time to get out of the room we had to be out and about all day without a place on a hot day. Also in my 5 night stay I probably spent an hour of my time waiting for the elevators. Food is helpful to have in the mornings, location is near alot but not right on anything which is both good and bad.

The location is very good: close to Central Park and less than 10mn by foot from a convenient subway station.
The breakfast buffet is good also: fresh fruits are available and you can load your batteries for a long day discovery through the town.
Rooms are just enough in size but they are clean. 8

Upon your arrival, be sure that your reservation is for the right number of nights you booked with your travel intermediate: you would avoid the risk of being charged for an unexpected extra-night. Fortunately enough the hotel staff was reactive and kind to find a solution.

Highly recommended!
The staff is very friendly and I think the breakfast is very good.
It is very centrally located. In about 10 minutes you are at Columbus Circle and thus at Central Park.
Unfortunately, on my first night, I had a very shabby room, which didn't even open the blinds and overlooked a construction site.
Luckily I was able to move to another room the next day.
What is also worth mentioning is that
Elevator doors open extremely slowly, which is why I preferred to walk.

An excellent hotel, I don't know if it was something of the moment but we found what had an excellent cost of lodging, the room was very clean, good bed, bathroom and very quiet.
A and excellent breakfasts included in the cost.
As a tourist there was a small inconvenience and it was the Subway that the days I was there there were some Subway lines that were out of service and someone who didn't know felt a bit lost.
Anyone who knows the area knows that they have no problem because public transportation in New York is excellent.

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights, two people, in mid-July, for tourism.

One adjective to describe it: ESSENTIAL (in the sense that you really find the essentials for your stay: a roof over your head and a bed).

POSITIVES:
- The location is great, 10 minutes walk from Columbus Circle (which is connected to many subway lines), 15 minutes from Times Square and Broadway

DOWNSIDES:
- The room is small, we were two people but only one person can walk around the bed because there is no space
- The bathroom is very small
- In the (small) wardrobe there are at most 4 hangers because the rest of the space is occupied by the ironing board) …. I wonder who can open and use the ironing board in such a small space!
- The room was on the third floor facing the main road: you need earplugs to sleep otherwise you will be woken up at 5am
- Cleaning is done every other day (the motivation is that in this way energy and water are saved to save the environment)
- Breakfast (included) is available until 9 in the morning on weekdays (9.30 on holidays). I stayed for holidays and having to run in the morning to be able to have breakfast is not really favorable. In a hotel that hosts tourists, breakfast should be on until 10!
- Furthermore, breakfast is like a school canteen: many packaged industrial products, few fresh products. For people who don't eat dairy and starchy products, very little is left.
- There is a refrigerator in the room but it does not work properly. I had to keep some medicines at a certain temperature (normal for a working fridge) and I had to put them in the small freezer compartment!
- Elevators are inadequate, slow. Luckily the room was on the third floor and we used the stairs.

In CONCLUSION I would NOT recommend it to my friends. I see it as a hotel for young people who are usually used to staying in hostels. Or a valid solution for those who need a support room for a maximum of two nights. For a longer stay it is not adequate.

I liked the experience, good service, really kind and helpful staff and perfect position: near the centre and the subway station at 59th Street. The breakfast was quite good, they had different things to eat to satisfy every kind of breakfast: sweet and savoury. The only thing I didn't like was the room: we are a family of 5 and they gave us two doubles, the beds were too small for two people to stay comfortable, the wardrobe really small and the free space in the camera wasn't enough for three people. The bathroom was big enough and the shower good for two.
Overall it was a peaceful experience, but I would recommend it for couples more than for big families.

Wonderful stay, top rooms, clean, lovely staff, the neighborhood and quiet and at the same time close to Central Park and Times Square! We will come back! Thanks again

The truth is that I do not recommend it because they DO NOT return the deposits, which by the way, are much more expensive than the room. They made me pay $206 for one night and a $250 deposit, and they use the excuse that the deposit must be paid by card in order to return it to you. After waiting and calling many times without receiving any answer, I gave up that the money is not going to be returned to me. In total, it cost me 456 for a single night. Not that it was a 5 star hotel please…

Horrible checkin process, small rooms, they push you to clean the room once every two days, they take hefty deposit beyond the norms, not worth the money!

Service from the women at the breakfast, Karriema, Diane and Gabby were top notch. Karriema went the extra mile to serve me and provide me with a great breakfast. The breakfast there was impressive. A little hotel with a big punch.

A nice hotel close to the centralpark.pros:

+really nice personel
+clean
+absolute pristine and luxurious furniture
+well designed rooms
+unlimited coffee and tea in the morning
+great vegan options for breakfast
+comfy bed
+there are a lot of USB-A ports to charge devices

cons:

-fixed shower head (for 266$/night i don't get a "proper" shower, are you serious?)
-no option to dry the towels, they are beeing changed only every second day, so you need to dry off with a wet towel every second day.
-the airconditioning is good but it has only two fan options: very loud and extreme loud
-the worst thing about this hotel are the elevators.they are so slow i needed 10 min from the 7th floor to the reception and back, this is just insane.btw i am not sure if the elevators are properly maintained because they are making weird noises which no elevator should make. (but this is just the opinion of a mechanical engineer ;) )
-the cleaners come at very inappropriate times between 4 and 6 pm
-the sink in the bathroom — even though nice looking — is unusable, the tap is way too short for brushing teeth or washing hands
-the stairs to the mainentrance are made of plastic and it just looks and feels really cheap and does not fit the good looking lobby (sorry i had to say it)
-the apartment doors are really hard to open and to close which makes it difficult for children and is also a security problem.i saw often gap open doors because the guests thought that the doors were properly closed
-there is no WC brush?
-our bed sheets were already dirty, no go

My room was ready early (requested in advance). Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful- particularly Janeel and Johnnie. The bed was very comfortable- AC worked well. Shower was good water pressure. Elevator very slow and hot. Room was small- typical NYC.
I thought I was getting valet parking (probably my error). It’s not. You park yourself at garage half a block away. There is a discounted rate for guests BUT CHECK ALL YOUR OPTIONS for paying before you show garage your sticker (got discount rate) because weekend rates are lower and check on Spothero app because it’s probably even less. The garage guy ripped me off- it just wasn’t worth the argument.
Easy walk 2 1/2 blocks to subway station at Columbus Circle (59th and Broadway)

The Hotel is very full. The breakfast is ok, not much variety of fruits and breads. They don't clean the rooms, they just change the towels and make the bed. We stayed 15 days and they never vacuumed our room.
Taking the elevator is a separate chapter, the elevator is very slow. Go with patient!

In upper west side, rather quiet quarter. The rooms are clean but a bit cramped. The elevators are slow especially at peak times (so prefer a low floor to use the stairs). Cleaning every 2 days, but you can ask for towels at the reception if you are short)

It is 1/2 mile plus or minus 800 from the Columbus circle subway station or across from Central Park

Rooms are a bit small. I think OK for New York. The room was unfortunately only cleaned every two days. I didn't think breakfast was that great. But it's American

Great location, only 3 blocks from central park. The room was pretty small but I suspect this is normal in Manhattan. However the rooms were very humid even though the AC was running constantly. Included breakfast is very basic but filling. The elevator is really slow, we were on the second floor so we usually just used the stairs, but even people from higher floors seem to use the stairs too. The staff seemed friendly and helpful. Overall I would book here again if I wanted to stay in that part of town. I knocked off one star because of the humidity issue and slow elevators.
