Fairy Sichuan Cuisine 俏花旦川菜馆 reviews
14Spiciest food you can get in Albany. This will light you up! Ha Love the 5 spice Beef and the Thai chili dumplings. Get the cucumbers to cool off the volcano in your mouth.
Food is so bland and tasteless. I wouldn't call this Sichuan style food, more like over priced Chinese take outs. Do not come here if you are looking for authentic Chinese cuisine, this is not it.
Food was fresh and delicious great for family eat in. Very personal it reminded me that family is all that matters
Very dry, very bland, Cummin beef meat was coated in batter, (never had Cummin beef cooked this way), taste no meat, no flavor to it either.
Steamed fish was poorly prepared, pepper salt spare ribs very dry, also no taste.wow! Where all the 5 stars review come from? ! I have never had such bad sichuan food ever! Very strange.
I do not recommend this restaurant. They don't know how to cook sichuan food IMHO. Don't waste your time and money here.
Food here is amazing! Some dishes were a little salty for me but I just added more water and it was fine. The double-cooked pork and the diced chicken with peanuts were mu favorite dishes. Must try!
Bought a spicy chicken, it’s got not a chicken, just skin of chicken fried in flour never will buy here again
Kind and friendly service, short wait on the food, large portions with very good taste (not spicy enough though) definetly worth a visit
What a gem. This place is outstanding. So different from any other Chinese I’ve ever had and my husband and I absolutely loved it. This place has a lot of what I assume are traditional Chinese dishes which was really cool. We don’t have super adventurous palettes so we got the Pork Dumplings in Hot Oil, the Szechuan Style Shredded Beef, and the Chongqing Spicy Chicken (not pictured). I cannot emphasize enough how amazing everything was. We are still talking about it two days later! Portions are huge and the leftovers were just as good. I’m extremely sad we live 4 hours away otherwise we would eat here every week! Although it’s not entirely out of the question to drive 8 hours round trip for this place!
I am sad because my sad noodle wasn't sad enough. I expected to cry when I ate it like the one I had in Chengdu China. This was flavorless and bland. 0/10, won't eat again.
Finally my favourite restaurant is open for dine in today! Had my all time must-have salt and pepper shrimp, the signature grilled fish and lamb soup! The taste is as great as before and kudos to the friendly waitress and owner. A must go place for authentic Sichuan meal at Albany!
I went to Fairy Sichuan before the pandemic and it was such a great experience! I got tofu hot pot while my friends ordered beef. The food was quite spicy (I'm a huge fan of spicy food) and loaded with delicious vegetables.
This is the best authentic mainland Chinese food I’ve had in the US after living in China for 5 years! Love the Yuxiang Eggplant (鱼香茄子),Double Cooked Pork (回锅肉), Cumin Lamb, Mushrooms and bokchoi (香菇菜心)etc. The restaurant looks simple and like many other Chinese restaurants, but don’t be deterred - the food is amazing! I highly recommend this place!
AMAZING food! The dishes are SO delicious, great portions. Ingredients are fresh, cooked perfectly, and the food comes out quick and hot! Our go-tos are the hot and spicy pork intestine (try it!), hot and spicy shrimp with shell, sautéed Chinese broccoli, and most recently: the sliced beef with wild peppers. Unbelievable. The owner is friendly and attentive. I can't wait to continue trying more dishes. I hope they make it through the challenges of Covid, I'd be sad to see such a great restaurant close it's doors!
Hot Bean Sauced Whole Fish tasts perfect, sauce is quite flavored and the fish cooked tender.
