Faisal Imran MD, New York NY

I was connected to Dr. Imran through Talkiatry. Never have I felt more judged or not listened to by a doctor. Awful experience, his tv was even on during our virtual appointment. The most recent review is concerning to me as they have the same uncommon last name as the first review written a few years ago. Calling people who don't have a good experience with Dr. Imran severely mentally ill or addicts in such a blanketed statement is truly shameful. Mentally ill people need psychiatric care. Avoid making an appointment with this doctor at all costs.

Dr. Faisal just denied my request to get necessary medication to treat my mental health symptoms and he refused to make note of it in my medical records.

This is a regular medication that I've been on consistently for a year. I don't expect to get every request for a prescription filled by a new provider but if i'm denied care it is expected that the medical records reflect that denial.

I'm concerned by his refusal to be transparent in the medical record. He also abruptly hung up on me before our time was up which cannot be protocol for a psychiatric care provider?

The best doctor I have ever met. Do not pay attention to negative reviews. Those are written by either by severely mentally ill individuals with no touch with reality and/or addicts looking for drugs. Dr. Faisal will not prescribe narcotics unless there is a clear medical or psychiatric basis for that. Having said that the doctor is brilliant, highly competent, ethical and empathic.
