Family Tree, Amherst NY

Family Tree leaves much to be desired. Service was terrible, I had to wait fifteen minutes before the initial contact with the server who seemed uninterested in taking my order. I ordered a brunch style menu and was told that I wouldn't be able to get it because the kitchen turn off the grill after twelve noon. YIKES! When I finally got my order the fish was loaded with dark crumbs from whatever was cooked in the dirty oil which was so apparent. I spoke to someone about this and they could've cared less. This Place Is A Dump!

I love the food but first impression are lasting impact my waitress was excellent, but one of the waitresses when I came in said I'll be with you, ok so I'm wating to be seated while she is doing a project behind the counter and I said how long do I have to wait so they had someone who was working the cash register to seat me. And mind you I've been there when it has been really busy and didn't have to wait. And she seem to have a lot to say concerning me but not directly to me.

I'm giving Family Tree 3 stars because I have to celebrate their gyro and chicken souvlaki recipes, which deserve 5 stars. However.it took our server 15 minutes to even acknowledge our existence, and when she did, she literally threw things like silverware and napkins onto our table and had absolutely no interest in having another table to care for. There was 5 of us.my husband's French toast was burnt, my father's beef on weck was bland, but thank God we were there to celebrate my son's graduation, and he loved his burger. The joint STILL reeks of grease.in fact I'm fairly confident the chairs & carpet have not been cleaned in 10 years. We used to be regulars there when my son was a baby, and we stopped going when the food became mediocre and the service even worse. It will be hard for me to talk the hubs into this one again. If you go.get the Greek food!

The 1st time I ordered a Tkout order chicken soulvaki salad there was no peppers no olives no tomatoes but it had mushrooms which don't belong. I didn't get my extra feta that I paid for. Ok maybe there was a new cook or maybe someone had an off day. Let's try this again Tkout order. A simple chicken ceaser salad. Where is the shredded cheese & why is the dressing my lettuce and not on the side. There will not be a 3rd time.

Roomy restaurant, but it's not the same since the pandemic. Slow, almost begrudging service. Cold food. I thought it was a one-time occurrence, but after the second time, they lost my business.

Ordered dinner from Family Tree Restaurant on Bailey Ave, it was outstanding! We ordered 2- Greek Gyro dinners, salad and rice pudding the proprietor told us it would be only 20 minutes. We arrived on time, we were greeted with a smile and handed a carefully packed meal to go. When we got home our meals were delicious, flavorful and leftovers for tomorrow. We will be back!

Sadly the first time there the pie was so old the meringue was hard and the second time the wrap had a hair in it. Will not be returning.

This restaurant never disappoints! For dining in our take out, the food is always wonderful and the price is always great!

Great place! The food was very, very good. Waitress, Mary, was very helpful, wonderful service.

A very good place for any meal of your day. Excellent food and service. The space is large so even when crowded you can still eat and have plenty of personal space. Greek food is their specialty but even regular American food is prepared with attention to detail. One should always try to save room for their fabulous rice pudding for dessert.

Ordered hot roast beef sandwich which came out cold, after it was microwaved I couldn't even cut it. My replacement salad had rotten lettuce in it.

Great family restaurant with great food. Prices are very reasonable. Always our go-to spot. Try their homemade Baklava - the best in this area! The service is wonderful, not a high turn over so you really get to know/remember them. Everyone is nice and friendly.

Not a fan. Dont think theyre cooking w real butter. Lots of food for the money, but basically just fine.

Good food, large quantities, reasonable prices. We go here often. The food is always good. The plates are always full. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity. The staff is always friendly and helpful. If the parking lot looks full, go in anyway. It has more space than it looks

I ordered the Reuben. I expected it to be fresh, but it seemed as though the meat had been in the warmer all day. It was dry and tough. The sauerkraut was mushy and it was doused in Thousand Island dressing. To top it all off, the pickle was wilted and covered in Feta cheese, but I didn't order a Greek salad. Any suggestions for a GREAT, FRESH Reuben?

It use to be a goto place but they changed the menu and it's unfortunate. I'm guessing they changed the cook too. We won't be back.

Family run local Greek restaurant. Their portions are huge and of great quality. A staple in the area for a very long time. Open breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Many of the staff have been there for years. Love their breakfast and fish fry. Did I mention the prices are also very reasonable.

Went there for fathers day. The food was great. I had a taco omelet. It was amazing and the service was great as well our waiter really had fun with us and was attentive to our every need as we were a larger group
