Famous Original Ray's Pizza, New York NY

Scam alert. Large pie is not same size pie's as in the window. Their large pie is the size of a medium. They should sell pie's the same size as on diaplay. If they need to charge more then so be it. At least let the customer decide instead of scamming them with a bait and switch small pie.

Pizza is great, staff is always very nice, and the prices are reasonable! Big fan of their chicken Caesar slice & the classic cheese slice

Not as great as it should have been. I grew up next to the Original Ray's pizza, and this wasn't as good. But it would have been 4 stars under another name. One star deduction for dashed expectations

Always go over your online order with them when picking up because they always (seems like its on purpose at this point) forget an item or two you ordered or mess up the order. Mushroom pizza has canned mushrooms not fresh mushrooms, the baked lasagna looks and tastes like it was frozen then thawed then microwaved ; watery and tasteless. They charged for extra toppings but didnt add the toppings requested, garlic knots were good, customer service is mediocre, only reason I go there is that its conveniently located for a quick bite.

In a city of exceptional pizza, this was average. Decent price, good size, if you're walking by it's perfectly fine to stop and grab a slice, it's not a destination pizza.

Good slice of NY pizza. That OG grungy NY pizzeria atmosphere that we all love. Crust could have been crispier but all around solid. Will definitely be back

Absolutely horrible service. Two of us walked away. Don’t recommend the place. You can get better pizza and service anywhere else in the city

Good tasty pizza. I do recommend if you're hungry and need a quick bite. Slices are large. Nice selection of toppings. The dough was a bit too thick, which made it taste a little raw. Thank you to all the workers. It is so hot in there, my brain almost melted.

The food was amazing but the attitude of the staff needs to change. When placing my order one of the guyswas very rude in taking it let alone when i asked a simple question was even more rude. The cashier also got annoyed when i asked for something added onto my order. I understand they were busy and it was late but the unprofessional attitude I had to deal with made me to NEVER want to visit this place again. If you cant handle the pressure of orders then maybe you should Work somewhere else. Word to the wise it has good pizza but so does other places and better professionalism and no attitudes
I will not be recommending this to any of my colleagues either.

The pizza was not that great to much doe and not enough cheese and sauce so I give this place a 2 out of 10

Overall great pizza, we grabbed three of the slice deals with drink, came in just over 20$.

I liked the variety of slices, they did have to reheat but tasted good. There were some seats available at the time.

Absolutely fantastic! Clean restaurant, friendly service, and excellent value. Delicious and fresh! Highly recommended.

Stopped by this place after having some drinks a few blocks south, Inside at Bart's, left me craving a NYC slice. I walked inside and it looked the same as my childhood, a few employees behind the counter, some customers eating and a few more in line behind me. I ordered two plain slices, waited a few minutes then paid and walked to the back with my familiar red tray. Reminding me that I was in a familiar place was the NY1 logo hugging the bottom left corner of the TV screen. I added my seasonings and enjoyed both slices while catching up on local news, before tossing my garbage and heading to the subway.

The pizza was too bready for a round pie. Not all all clean

Employees arguing, food was okay and cashier always talking loudly about a bird/pigeon that comes in the store.no explanation as how it works.just a menace

The pizza was fine, “not bad”, but I think they can do better. I liked how crusty it was but I had a feeling that it misses something, a little ingredient to make it much more tasty and flavorful. The Caprese slice was quite big but $6.10 still seems expensive.
Will I return? Maybe, only if I am nearby and very hungry.

The pizza is quite average, absolutely nothing special - cheap ingredients, oily, kind of yucky. But, $5 for a slice? Come on!
