How can you not love a place where you get to pet cows, pigs and feed (and pet) turkeys? I wish boyfriend and I could go vegetarian, but God made animals taste too good. We do at least try to buy from local farms and not factory farms.

Highly recommend trip if you're in the area. Our entire family, especially my daughter who loves saving all animals and bugs loved it! They stress a plant based diet for green and health reasons plus give you a great tour with back stories for many of the animals you encounter.

Visiting Farm Sanctuary was such an amazing experience. I never expected turkeys to be so friendly:)
They do great advocacy work and providing the best environment and care for the animals they take in. I can't wait to go back.

What an incredible place! Volunteered on a Sunday morning in early December and I was welcomed with open arms. All of the staff were very friendly and kindhearted. Definitely help out in the winter if you have the ability to do so, they need extra hands during the cold season. Highly recommend visiting this sanctuary.

Great tour of the farm. Does not offer much to eat therefore it is beneficial to eat before visiting. Several souvenirs to choose from. Staff are very friendly.

Came for the tour and had a wonderful experience. I really loved that they let us into the pens to interact with the animals, it was really fun and special. Our guide was friendly and pleasant to talk to.

The tour "talk" is about animal cruelty and being vegan. 1hour in length. Too long for children and they don't really understand it.

Saw a goat.

Learned why vegans are annoying.

Petted a chicken.

Did not see Jon Stewart in overalls.

Touched a cow.

Still went to smashburger after.

Good times

What a wonderful sanctuary and refuge. I would reccommend the tour, it probably isnt necessary, but you get to learn about each animal and hear their story.they are the sweetest things! Our tour guide, Katie, was awesome, you can tell she really loved her job and was passionate about the farm's cause.

This is a wonderful place to visit rescued animals. You can visit the cows, chickens, goats, donkeys, turkeys, and pigs. Bring your kids.

Worth the visit if you are in the area. The tour (which only costs $10 for adults and is an hour long) is both educational and filled with chances to interact with some of the animal ambassadors. I especially liked the turkeys and sheep. Also, the gift shop is very unique and stocked with Farm Sanctuary merchandise.

My girlfriend took me here last year and I am so glad that we decided to spend a we care this time around. We decided to stay in the cabins this time and had a great time with our windows open listening to donkeys cows turkeys and pigs talk to one another. Aside from the experience of meeting many different species, the Farm sanctuary mission of advocacy for farm animals and their rights is amazing. We plan on supporting this mission throughout our lives and promoting the mission everywhere.

The Farm Sanctuary’s Watkins Glen shelter is one of my favorite places in the world. It’s the perfect place to meet farm animal ambassadors—gentle cows, pigs who love belly rubs, sweet and shy sheep, and mischievous goats. During the visitor season (May - October), a nice gift shop operates out of the Visitor Barn. Highly recommended!

Very relaxing place and very friendly staff. The tour is fun. Petting the animals is fun as well. I stayed in a cabin which was clean and staff was very helpful with any questions. The bed and breakfast was delicious!

OMG! This was a fabulous tour! It was so heartwarming to meet the animals all rescued from the horrific animal agriculture industry. I can’t wait to visit again!
