Fifth Avenue Record Shop, Brooklyn NY

An old-school record store. They have an excellent inventory & the prices are fair. The storefront is very unassuming, but once inside you will find gems. Go!

The “Chicago” guy was a bit rude on querying him probably cause I didn’t engage in bs and walk out like the two who followed.
Very small jazz section (2 bins) kind of an after thought. Overpriced!
Spent a bit of time here carefully looking but no luck will not be back.

Disorganized and displays items not for sale. Don’t have vintage display items out in a vintage store if you’re not willing to sell them. I would have dropped around $500 on items that were displayed but not priced or were there “just for show. ” My visit was disappointing.

This place is great. The people who run the shop are knowledgeable and helpful. Will definitely return.

Same famous record shop in Park Slope, Brooklyn, NY, but with a new, younger owner, Ryan. Cool, friendly cat that's helpful. If he doesn't have it, he can order it. The shop is always getting new and used vinyl on a daily basis. His prices are good and he'll definitely work with you. He has great $1 records out front and I've found some good bargains and albums I took a chance on for a buck. He also has 45's, CD's and DVD's. The shop has a very old school feel, and I dig that. He's very house music friendly, but also has a lot of classic rock, jazz, r&b & rap vinyl. Tell him Michael & Mindy Louis sent ya.

Good prices but completely disorganized CD collection. Good luck on finding anything you what you want.

Nice little shop.a lot of old records.some vintage records.perfect for hipster doofuses.and no it does not sound that much better.your just buying into your own bs.

Large selection of vinyl, pretty steep prices in my opinion. The people working were talking unkindly of a customer as soon as he walked out the door which really turned me off. Having worked in retail, I get it.but please wait until your store is empty to complain about annoying customers.

This store is so amazing that I almost want to keep it a secret. I felt so welcome and at wade looking around. Prices are totally reasonable And the selection is outstanding. I didn’t know what I wanted but found myself leaving with 7 cassette tapes that I am so excited about. I’m going to stock up on vinyl my next trip!
