Finger Lakes Running Co, Ithaca NY

I am absolutely blown away by the customer service demonstrated at Finger Lakes Running Co. I was having problems with my most recent running sneakers (NOT purchased from this store. A mistake I won't make again), and walked in to ask for help with finding a new pair, equipped with a few older pairs for wear reference.

I received 30+ minutes of attention as we chatted about my running habits, injury history.basically everything that could be the cause of my current discomfort. I tried on several pairs, discussing each one, and walked out with a pair I am so excited to break in.

Such great people! Went in looking for advice and to try on some shoes for an upcoming trip. They were so helpful and gave a ton of great advice with little to no pressure to buy. Will be back to actually purchase something soon!

Went in for a new pair of runners since my old ones were wearing down and giving me some knee pain. Ian was super helpful. He checked out the wear pattern on my old shoes as well as my foot shape and made some recommendations that he thought would be best. I left feeling like I had the best option for my foot and use. Will definitely be back for my next pair and will be recommending to anyone in the market.

I am no runner but this is the only place I'm buying sneakers from now on.
The salesman was excellent. He was the only one there and he danced between as many as 6 customers at once! Everyone got what they needed with attention, care and personal service. He brought me several pairs of shoes and inserts. Not all at once but in response to the conversation we had about my feet, his super quick and effective analysis of my support needs and what I was looking for. Again all while taking care of several other customers! His knowledge of his store and products was excellent. I felt supported to find the right fit and never like he was selling to me. I appreciate the good old fashioned service with attention and a smile. I highly recommend shopping here if you're in need of a new pair of shoes, whether you work on concrete floors all day like me or you walk or run, this store will take care of you. I was almost embarrassed to describe what I was looking for (shoe with good support & cushioning that felt barefoot.next up I went next door for a cheeseburger without the cheese LOL). I'm completely new to running and have no idea what I'm doing. The person working there (Amelia) totally got what I needed and was so helpful with information and tons of options. I left with a great pair of Altra sneakers that I love (and never would have picked out on my own), and a lot of knowledge I didn't know I needed! Thank you Finger Lakes Running Co & Amelia!

Decent selection and friendly staff. Good place to get high end running shoes such as Brooks, Saucony, Nike, and more.

This is the kind of show store where you describe what you are looking for and they bring you shoes, watch you walk and give you suggestions. The owner is really attentive and does a great job with making you want to return to give him your business again. My husband wears an unusual size and they order him styles in his size for him to try on. We will be returning next year for new shoes!
