Tl: dr - Finish Line is excellent. They may be expensive, but you will have access to a higher level of care and attention aimed at getting you back out running as soon as safely possible.

I had been trying to self treat foot pain for four months before I went to an orthopedist and got diagnosed with posterior tibial tendonitis. Then I took another month trying to treat it with rest, exercises from the doctor, and every bit of free PT that's available on youtube, instagram, etc. None of it helped, and if I ran more than a mile, I would have trouble walking the next day. So I finally went to Finish Line.

My therapist was Ryan, and he was the only person I worked with. There were no assistants or substitutes. I had 100% of his attention throughout each session. Most of the exercises we did were not things that are being given away for free on youtube. He used my phone to video each new exercise and narrate how to do it so I could have a reference for home. There was a clear progression and explanation of what we were doing and why. It probably helps that I'm the kind of person who really commits to PT and follows instruction closely, but I was back out there running after two or three sessions, with strict assignments about what kind of run and how long. I'm currently pain free and running without restrictions after eight sessions, in less than two months. Finish Line is serious PT by and for runners. It was very much worth it for me.

I am so thankful to Ryan Matisko for helping me through my injury. I had a hip strain and post tib tendinitis. I looked forward to each session where we would spend time massaging / working on my muscles, and then doing targeted high-quality exercises. Ryan is so personable and I always enjoyed our conversations. He is a run coach and is very knowledgeable about running, so always gave advice on that front as well. Finish Line is very involved in the NYC running community. Homework was always clear, and it paid off! I was sad to “graduate” from PT, but am so thankful to be able to run pain-free again.

Had an amazing experience at Finish Line. I came in for Glute Tendinitis diagnosis and Ryan Matisko made my recovery journey a breeze. Finish Line’s service is truly top-notch, and the staff there are super friendly and knowledgeable. Ryan truly cares about his patients and went above and beyond. I'm thrilled with the progress I've made - If you're looking for fantastic physical therapy, Finish Line is the way to go!

Finish Line is my go-to place for prehab and rehab! It’s a gorgeous advanced space with great staff. I actually love going to PT there. When I came to Ryan recently I could barely walk with a hip injury and with his guidance I ran the NYC half marathon a few months later at my goal place! Ryan even cheered me on during the race! I have worked with Morgan as well who helped me finish the NYC marathon a few years ago when I injured my knee during training. I didn’t think I could do it but she ensured me that I could with her help and I finished my first marathon! Morgan was of course cheering me on to during the race! I never would have been able to do it without them. Both are beyond amazing and helped to fix my muscle imbalances so I am now less injury prone. Thanks to Finish Line I am a runner for life!

Best physical therapy in the city! Jackie Massi and Sammy Jacobsen are both amazing PTs; I'm sure the others are great too, I just don't know them personally. The Finish Line trainers all do lots of continuing education, and they have access to the most advanced treatment options. Everyone is friendly and the facility feels open and clean. I've avoided surgery thanks to Jackie and can't recommend them enough for musculoskeletal injuries.

Lovely first experience with cryo, infrared sauna, and leg compression sleeves. The staff are all very knowledgeable and kind. Thoroughly explained everything. Thank you!
