Fish Market reviews
16 What a random but great find. It’s a divey sports bar but also a Malaysian restaurant. Staff were great - so friendly and handing out Jameson shots.
We enjoyed the fried chicken (so crunchy) and the Sambal cod special
Gotta be able to open the door to get in first, but after that it's a great local crowd bar with good food and generous rounds of Jameson by the friendly bartenders!
Fun spot! Ofcourse you have to get that door open first though. Free Jameson shots every 5 minutes! What’s not to like?
Great place. Been going here for years. I left NYC during Covid but always stop in here when in town. Only bad point is that it’s one of my ex girlfriend’s favorite places
It takes a lot for me to write a bad review.
Head staff were incredibly rude. Probably one of the absolute worst experiences I’ve ever had. All of the other 1 star reviews are true- you will feel disrespected and wonder why you even stepped foot into this place. However, to make this review fair, I will also include the good. The food was really great, which was a surprise. Come here if you want decent food but also want to feel devalued as a human being.
If my wife and I could go back in time and get married here we would. Food is amazing, mama is a boss, andAdam and Jeff are amazing.
The crowd has made them go over their heads. Being rude to customers & having 0 communication between their staffs, 2 saying different things, and shouting and having attitude when we follow instructions. Namely the dude in the picture. #NameandShame
Genuine atmosphere, lovely bartenders, dog friendly, great location off the Seaport, highly recommend
The perfect mix of dive bar and quality international food. I have not found many places like this in NYC. Expect a basic drink menu, but a far from basic food menu - and a few Jameson shots!
The best home cooked meal youll have I promise. The food was the delicious it cant even be described. The actual bar is unassuming and has a great feel to it. The owner was present and behind the bar working and talked with us as we ate and drank at the counter. Cant wait to go back!
So not what I expected. Thought it was a restaurant but it's actually a dive bar. The laksa and fried rice were delish! The owner was originally from Kuala Lumpur so you know his Asian dishes are legit.
I've stumbled upon an incredible local bar! The bartenders are friendly, and the crowd is always laid-back and enjoyable. And let's not forget the amazing food they serve—it's absolutely fantastic! It's definitely worth a visit to experience it firsthand.
Fellow yellows rejoice. This place has solid comfort food offerings albeit pretty pricey. A High Noon was $10/can - ouch. Jameo. Crispy fried rice
Awesome family-run sports bar with excellent Malay/Chinese food. The most unpretentious dive bar in the seaport/fidi area. This is nowhere else quite like this. I love it.
The food at this no frills bar and restaurant is amazing. Reasonably priced and delicious.
Really good Malaysian/Chinese menu, good liquor selection for most mixed drinks, great staff!
