Staff is ghetto and unprofessional. Cannot believe who they have answering calls and attending to customers.

Kind, gracious, ability to give clear precise advise on questions asked.
The young lady with the glasses and dreadlocks was not only respectful but provided information as was requested
The staff were assisting customers as to their needs and managing service requests via phone.
Give them a try, go in with a positive and respectful attitude you will be greeted with the same.

By far the best optometry experiences I’ve had. There is one young lady that works in the first and she is super professional and very friendly. I believe her name is Cherylle. I’ve been going here for at least 5 years and haven’t had any issues. The doctors are very informative and also great listeners to your needs. The greatest part is the wait is not long. Just make sure you book in advance, they’re very accommodating.

I was there recently and had a great experience. I was very undecided on what I wanted and Cherylle was very patient with me. She help me figure out what I was looking for and I NEVER felt rushed. I left happy with my purchase and will definitely be coming back. Thank you again Cherylle I will be sending my family and friends.

I Went for a eye exam and I asked a simple question to the doctor (Cochin or however you spell it). The doctor seemed very annoyed when I asked…after the exam she went over to Yvette (lady in the front) and they were whispering to each other about the question I asked. I over heard them and went over to them to see what the problem was because they were speaking about me and not to me.which I find was very rude…. Imagine you have to ask a question and the “professionals” respond with a rude tone. I wouldn’t recommend going here. Avoid if you can.

It was my first time being here and everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Dr. Tongsri was very professional and answered all my questions as well as conducting a comprehensive eye examination. George helped me find a fashionable frame and took the time to listen to my preferences to find me the perfect eyewear. I definitely recommend everyone to check this place out for any eyecare and eyewear needs!

The doctors here are wonderful, there is just this one person at the front desk with shoulder length locs that always gives me a hard time when I go there, the other two ladies are professional. This one person who doesn't understand medical billing always turns me away, because she is clearly illiterate when it comes to understanding processing insurance. She actually told me I needed to pay over $1000 deductible when it didn't apply. I went to another eye doctor and was treated and had to pay Zero. This place needs to hire professionals who can communicate and work with the public. They are losing income due to this one person. This is the third time she turned me away. Thank goodness for other services.

I have been a satisfied LensCrafters customer for many years. I live near the Junction, and am also a regular at local businesses such as Target, Chase, etc. It was time for my annual eye exam, so because I walk past Flatbush Optical at least 4x per week, I decided to pay them a visit, especially because I'd recently experienced changes in my vision. I have 3 pairs of prescription eyeglasses purchased through LensCrafters; all with a prescription for bifocal/astigmatism vision correction. I've also worn prescription contact lens since the age of 15 (I'm 51 now).

My very first visit to Flatbush Optical was in November 2022. I have great insurance (Cigna) with a VSP provision, which covered my standard eye exam. The optometrist was fantastic, she performed the test and gave me the results. My vision certainly had changed, so a new prescription was necessary. I made it very clear I did not want to wear glasses, but was interested in new contacts, although a year had passed since I'd last worn any. I was told I needed to make a separate appointment for a fitting, but also pay an additional fee. I returned on November 16, paid $178 w/insurance benefits applied, and was given a 30-day trial pair. I was told to wear them for 1 week to be sure of fit and comfort.

For good measure, I waited 2 weeks, but also experienced some difficulty with the right lens. I saw the optometrist again, who made a quick adjustment and sent me back to the front counter. Again, I made it 100% clear I was fine with the contact lens, and wished to place my final order since I'd already paid for them.

December 16,2022 (30 days later), and I had received no phone calls, voicemails or texts regarding my order. I walked over to the store to inquire in person, and was repeatedly asked if I ever came back to let them know I wanted the contacts. It's almost as if they were trying to blame me for their inefficiency, although all of my information, including my payment and applied insurance benefits were already in their freaking computer!

A gentleman was finally called from the back and found my information in the computer with a few simple clicks. That really irritated me since I had just spent 10 minutes explaining all of that to one of the other ladies who hadn't bothered to look at all.

Still, no one knew where my tray was, or what happened to the paperwork. He offered to give me another 30-day trial pair until they could place the order, but said he had to make sure he had them in stock. He told me it was okay to leave, but that he would call me later to confirm. I did get a call from him that same afternoon, but the store was closed by the time I received his message.

I returned the next day, and once again, nothing. Somehow the trial pair of contacts had been misplaced. I waited almost 15 minutes while he and one of the other ladies at the counter looked for them. He went to the back, and five minutes later, returned with the contact lens. Supposedly, they'd been mixed up with another customer who was apparently experiencing the same issue as me. I was assured my contact lens order would be ready in 5 - 7 days, but of course, when I returned the next time, I was told they had indeed not been ordered. I was given another apology, and assured it would be taken care of.

Today is January 12,2023. I returned to the store today, and still no contact lens. Once again, no one could find the order, and no one present could help me because someone wasn't in. I was told to come back tomorrow, although It's been almost 60 days since my first visit. I have half a mind to contact my insurance company since they've already been billed. This is purely unacceptable, and I can assure you I won't be going back.

I will be going back to LensCrafters, but I guess this type of poor service should have been expected considering the area and customer demographic. It's unfortunate this unacceptable treatment of any customer would happen, but I am certainly not going to tolerate it. I won't be going back, and I don't want to hear anymore excuses.

Very rude and unprofessional, disrespectful manager, doesn’t know how to respect people and the dumb front desk also doesn’t know how to check the insurance. They prefer people to see the doctor without checking insurance and then charge them out of pocket when they have insurance!
It’s a rubbery!
God will take care of it!
The manager is liar! You said l don’t have any copy! So how do you know l want pay $40? So this is proof that you didn’t do your job properly!
Don’t worry!
Karma will take care of you!
