Supermarket FOOD BAZAAR reviews
11 It is a huge supermarket, with choices galore, and the prices are definitely more reasonable than the Fairway that used to be on this spot. I could be wrong but I don't think they have the skincare and supplements like Fairway had, which I used to love, but that's not a big issue.
I usually go at night before or after the sunset at Valentino Pier so I can't comment on the sandwiches, but would like to try them.
My granddaughter and I stopped in for hummus. Minds blown! Great organic fruits and veg, selections are unbelievable! New converts!
This place is kind of amazing. Not only do they have some of the best deals on food in New York City – especially considering the price of eggs up in Harlem ($9).
The best kept secret about this: they have a full solid bar and sandwich/sushi spot in the back of the store.
Grab a sandwich and a drink and you can sit on their back patio with a gorgeous view of the water and you get a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty.
What an experience. There is so much to see and choose from. The deli has wonderful cuts of beef ready packed. The coffee bean selection was fabulous.
Nice supermarket pricey, but the food is fresh. The breakfast/lunch is good along with the views of the harbor. And why is it so cold in the store?
A great variety of produce, vegetables, meats and Caribbean products at the Wyckoff store. Different grocery selection at the Red Hook store and a variety of supermarket products including organic. Parking is available. Prices are reasonable sometimes. Aisles are narrow. Buffet meals at the store in Red Hook are way below the quality of Fairways, sometimes salty and I have to throw away when I get home. Breads are sometimes stale with hard bagels. Fish is not fresh at the Wyckoff store.
Lots of differing specialty area, whole aisles dedicated to gluten free. Always fresh always delicious.
I go here when I visit my uncle who lives in Red Hook. I don't know what it was like in the past when that neighborhood was "inner-city" but that's probably a good thing which might affect my review. Now that Red Hook is largely gentrified with lots of hipsters shopping for their IPAs and gourmet cheeses, they have a huge supply of regular supermarket stuff, ethnic stuff for those Red Hook residents who still need somewhere to buy their Cafe Bustelo and fancy-schmancy stuff for the locals who are into cheese boards and stuff like that. Prices are average. Store is clean. Staff is about as friendly as you can reasonably expect. It's not a specialty store, it's a neighborhood supermarket with some specialty items. 4 stars.
Not sure how it is now so I'll leave it at a 4 but my mom used to work at the fairway back in I think 2018 loved it there and the surrounding area was nice and also the trolly not sure about the history around there but I loved it I felt so lively there I hope its good
It's quite large. Has some organic stuff as well. Big parking lot, good to go on a weekday afternoon. They have a decent sandwich deli. The prices are eh, average. Ex. Chobani can be found 10 for $10, here it's 3 for $5. Some things good, others not so much but all around solid supermarket. Has some foreign foods as well.
I’ve been coming here for years and this was so pricey I just opened the jar to this, someone must of tried to open it or take some out, it’s half empty
