Food & Fire BBQ-Taphouse, Johnson City NY

We tried as much as two human beings could possibly eat and everything was fantastic. The fattier cut of brisket was juicy, tender and flavorful. The Texas red chili is one of my new favorite things. Service was friendly and attentive. A great experience and value all around.

I have been loving it here there’s nice water and nice comfortable floors but my food has been a dry in these past 99 years

Oh. My. Goodness. BEST burger I’ve had in a very long time. My husband ordered the spiedie sub and said it was absolutely amazing. Our server was friendly and attentive and everything we ate was amazing. We can’t wait to go back!

Don't waste your money on the gator bites tacos, barely any gator, overwhelming slaw. Waste of money for 12 bucks. Wings were decent.

Great experience here. I made this a pitstop on m ride up from NYC to Syracuse. It was not too far from Interstate 81. I arrived at about 4 pm on a weekday and the place was practically empty. There is a large lot there share with some oter stores including a Dollar Tree and Aldi. The restaurant also has some outdoor seating. Inside, the space is very big, surprisingly bigger than it seems from the outside. There are some indoor tables to the left when you walk in and bar straight ahead and to the right. They have a huge beer selection there with lots of draft. They had a variety of food items, but I only had the wings which were really great. All staff members were friendly and patient. The bartender was also great, even recommending beer/drinks upon request. I would love to return to try out some more beer and some of their food selections.

The food was more dryer than the desert and barbecue sauce tasted like catch-up that has been spoiled for two weeks. But overall really good

We love Food & Fire. Dan and his team catered our rehearsal dinner and wedding, and what an amazing job they did. They worked with us to come up with an awesomely unique idea for Friday night (which people are still talking about) as well as a great dining experience for us and our guests at our wedding on Saturday. The food was excellent, service was great, no surprises with pricing, and we couldn't be happier. I can't say enough how glad we are that we used Dan and Food & Fire for our wedding weekend. Thank you!

The cornbread was really good. We ordered wings, Chili, Bacon Taphouse burger with fries and the BBQ Taster (dry ribs and pull pork) Also, ordered Ithaca Beer (draft).
Everything was hot and delicious.

The food was so good. Definitely going back. Our server was awesome and the atmosphere was cool. We had the smoked wings.yum. For our entrees we had the brisket, ribs and turkey. Our sides.a mustard base coleslaw, mac n cheese and a 3 bean salad. The meal was a huge hit. We even bought the dry rub to take home bcuz it is that yummy.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch. The food is delicious! The staff is amazing! I recommend this place 100%.

AHmaaazing! We don't get this way often, but this was our second visit. You absolutely did NOT disappoint. The food was so good, and the corn bread? We wanted a pan to go! Our server was also spot on! My daughter and I have decided this will be our dining spot when we come to the area. Thank you!

Great service, decent tap list, mediocre BBQ. Charles, our server, was attentive, quick, and friendly. He was the highlight of our dinner. The beer/tap list was pretty good, no complaints there. We got the jalapeno smoked bombs for an appetizer. We were expecting spicy because the menu warned us that it would be.it was not. Very mild jalapeno stuffed with cream cheese, wrapped in BBQ sauce brushed bacon. Tasted exactly like that, except no smokiness at all and no spicier than a stuffed bell pepper. The BBQ was not anything to write home about. Not inedible, just not really BBQ. The half chicken was a decent size, slathered in BBQ sauce, but did not taste smoked at all. The brisket had a decent smoke flavor and probably was the best of the meats we tried. The turkey had zero smokiness and was a bit dry. All the sides (mac-n-cheese, coleslaw, BBQ baked beans, potato salad) were only okay, didn't seem house made, more like something you'd get on an all-you-can eat buffet. Overall, this place is fine, but there are probably better options nearby.

Meats were okay. Sides were very good. The BBQ sauce was terrible. Vinegar based sauce with not nearly enough flavor so it ended up tasting like only vinegar. Staff was friendly.

This place is awesome. Don't miss it. Get the tots! They went above and beyond to serve us on a holiday right before closing, and everything was spectacular. I wish we lived closer. We'd be there every week.

Delicious food, excellent service, and polite staff. We had Food & Fire cater our wedding and our guests cannot stop talking about how amazing everything was! Dan was professional and easy to work with in making sure everything was the way we wanted. Couldn't be happier!

Ok. I am sitting at the table waiting for the bill.and I can confirm. BRAVO to the cooks and wait staff! Brisket was moist and tender and tasty.dry ribs wonderful. Beer selection will challenge you to pick just one.

Great brisket and pulled pork. The potato salad was wonderful and the waitstaff attentive but somewhat slow. All in all I have the give a A-.
