Foodtown of Ralph Avenue, Brooklyn NY

Three years and 1 pandemic later. Foodtown has gone down. Some items are no longer available, restocking of shelves is very slow, and surprisingly, I never see the managers anymore. I try to be loyal for local shopping, but I find myself going to other local markets for one stop shopping.

I've been to many food towns but this one I didn't care for it. I guess because it was a bit too congested on the day I visited. There was a guy stocking and blocking the isle in the produce section. Bottom line I left because of the congestion, no place to pass freely. Customers unable to get by, not sure if it's always like that.

This store used to be really good but they have no tellers and you have to wait forever to get to the checkout

Large selection of seafood meat bakery etc. HOWEVER the lines are long.they never have more than 3 registers open

The most unprofessional and rude manager works there. I refuse to spend my money where I’m not respected. They also are very unorganized and more expensive than other grocery stores. Save yourself the time and energy and shop elsewhere where you can get better customer service

Prices are high. Has always been high even before the pandemic. They are higher than the Shoprite at Gateway Center and I frequent Shoprite. Also thier bags are 25 cents PLUS tax. 2 bags are 54 cents.

I have been a daily loyal customer for over 5 years. Im a single disabled father with 2 kids. I went shopping in the store yesterday evening. Got to the register. And realized I didn't have my food stamps card with me. I left it at home. Contacted my sister who was at home. She took a picture of it and sent it to me. Now I was showing the lady at the register my New York state ID along with a picture of my benefit card with the name and date of birth matched up. And she said she wasn't sure if she could take it like that. She informs the guy by register one. He says he wants to go speak to the bookkeeper and the bookkeeper said they can't do it like that they need the card.

Now I've been there in the past Monday to be exact and my card wasn't being read on their machine so they entered the numbers manually. And they couldn't enter the numbers again manually me showing my ID matching my benefit card. I will be filing a formal complaint with corporate. And this will be the last time I ever shop at the store again they lost a daily customer.

The experience is excellent job. It was very clean inside of the super market. All the staff members is training to help me where items are location.

Cashier had an attitude and the so called manager named “MANNY “ has a disgusting attitude with zero customer service! He talks to customers very undermining. I don’t know how he is made a “manager “ if he lacks the basic sense of kindness and customer service! Smh.

They're alright. They have fresh fish for sale in the back, fresh bagels and rolls. Pretty well stocked with items. Enough for you fill the fridge.

Horrible here they put the minimum amount of cashiers in off peak hours creating long lines when you have only 2 or 3 items. No need for this! They pull this garbage because it’s patrons are Black it’s highly disrespectful

Some, not all, but some of the cashiers need to realize, that there is a line (it gets long for the reason I am about to put), and shoppers don't have all day. STOP YAPPING, about hood things outside work, while your register is empty, which keeps you too busy, from calling over the next person, to keep things moving. This use to be Keyfood up the road from this place, horrible service before COVID-19, but after COVID-19, Keyfood knows how to keep their line moving now. It took a pandemic for them to get it right, so I go there frequently now.

I was at the Store May 29 at12,45am one cash register open,! That is not good for any business special Super market, I went and speak to the Manager she apologize,

I have always liked Foodtown supermarket. Recently I have not been too pleased. Their produce has not been as good as years before. I would have given them 4 stars yet the new bring your own bag or purchase bags is an issue. In other grocery stores the cashier packs your bags or the bags you purchase. Foodtown only packs the bags if you buy them. That means if you purchase a lot of groceries you are left to pack your own bags. The cashier doesn't wait to ring up the next order. The next customer's groceries are right there with yours and there is no "social distancing" and everyone is annoyed. Foodtown, why don't you have assistance with bagging? My frequent visits will now be infrequent.

The line was pretty long but I got through quickly because I didn’t have any items. The cashier was very sweet and the store has a huge variety of items overall. Found something and I’m very excited, definitely visiting again.

Food town I enjoy shopping there! It's a bit pricey however you got to know when there's a deal you can capitalize on. Customers service is great. Friendly staff.
