Forbidden Planet reviews
15One of my favorite places to visit. Great for comic and anime nerds. It has more comic related items if you're curious. I always come here to purchase gifts for my friends.
This is a beautiful and special place in NYC. It is a treasure trove of a wide variety of comics, graphic novels and pop culture merchandise that caters to lovers of superheroes, manga, to niche art zines of all sorts!
Indulge in your bibliophilic passions and support the Folx @ Forbidden Planet️
They have a good selection of t-shirt, comics, and collectables. Staff is very knowledgeable on what they have.
Must visit if you are in nyc, lots of cool tee shirts have been going there for decades, very friendly sales people
Love this store, it's my fix when I need to know or want anything. Well stocked and great staff.
World class service. Staff are very knowledgeable in the items available. Sort of a mom and pop store on a giant scale.
Good prices, a ton of variety, insane staff (in a good way) but be aware THEY DO NOT HAVE VIDEO GAMES.
A nice collectible location, overpriced pricey, not much backstock on older comics. Excellent customer service.
If you're a fan of punk music and collectibles, then just the moment you walk in will make you fall in love with the place and that's before you even find out just how much they have to offer and are always updating their shelves with the latest comic book related reading material and collectibles.
Hugh shops with to eat of stuff to look at. As a TTRPG player I would have liked to see more of that stuff. However, the amount comics, board games and merch are all amazing and well priced.
Love this place. Large selection and very knowledgeable and friendly staff. A must visit if you're into collectibles.
Very interesting location with collectibles, trendy t-shirts and a large array of reading materials, a good time was had by all!
I enjoy my occasional visits to Forbidden Planet. They always have a great selection of Funko pops and various other collectibles and goodies. My only complaints would be staff watching customers as they look around. I'd rather have cameras at me then have an uncomfortable visit. And I don't get the vibe that makes me welcomed to the store. I think we need that atmosphere especially because this is the type of shop for nerds to get away from the crazy world, even for just a few minutes. The cashiers are usually talking up a storm and never paying mind to me. I like this store because it's an essential destination for collectors like me but there are some improvements to be made. Oh and the Funko pops and other collectibles in the glass cases are usually way overpriced so I feel no need to try buy something I might want.
The Third Eye Comics of New York. You will find collector cult favorites of memorabilia portraying towards movies, comics, board games, etc. For film you will find interesting limited releases of cult horror movies and others from renowned labels Kino Lorber, Arrow, Vinegar Syndrome, etc.
The customers and the staff were very friendly inviting atmospheres and willing to help out, overall a great experience!
This place will drain your wallet in the best way. Next time I head downstate I plan to visit again and bringing my film buddies!
