We had the pleasure of using Forged in the North for our wedding photos, and we could not be happier with the results. Ben and Paul were so incredibly kind and professional, they made us feel like rock stars on our special day! They managed to capture the intimacy of our small wedding ceremony in NYC perfectly. Ryan and Heidi were incredibly responsive and helpful in getting all the details together, and we are so thankful! Our photos and video came out absolutely magical.

We worked with After It All (sister company to Forged in the North) as the videographers for our wedding. They were truly incredible to work with - they were responsive throughout the process and amazing they day of. They made us feel comfortable and captured moments in such a natural, real way. Nothing about the final product feels forced or posed - the video beautifully captures our day and will be something we treasure forever!

Tina and Tonhya were terrific for our wedding. Tonhya was our photographer and she made us feel extremely comfortable from the get go. She understood exactly what kind of pictures we wanted - and they turned out beautifully. The quality is amazing. Tina was our videographer - she also made us feel very comfortable. The produced edited video of our wedding is just incredible. Every person we show it to cannot believe how great it is. We can relive every perfect moment from our wedding thanks to Tina and Tonhya. The photographs and video are both something we will cherish forever. Ryan was also an awesome help. Thanks to Forged In the North!

Ben, Ryan and Heidi aren’t wedding videographers, they are artists. They took something that was obviously incredible for us but could be yet another wedding for anyone else, and turned it into a gorgeous film that not only rivals incredible movie cinematography but tells a story that makes you smile and cry. I could sing their praises all day but really all you need to do is look at their portfolio to see why they are widely regarded amongst pros in the wedding industry as the best of the best. Also on a personal note all three are just wonderful human beings. Ben in particular could not have been more of pleasure to work with. He took what could have been an immensely stressful day and turned it into a relaxed and fun adventure.i know they are booked up years in advance now, but if you can, find a way to work with them. Ten years later when you look back on that day, you’ll be glad you did.

I can't say enough good things about our experience with Forged in the North! Ben was our videographer and he was so warm, funny, and laid back. He made us feel so comfortable the entire day. He worked so well with our photographer and the videos from the day turned out AMAZING. Paul from Forged in the North was the most valued asset at our wedding. We. Love. Paul. He made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and his photos are like amazing artwork. Ben was incredibly easy to work with throughout the planning process and on the day of our wedding. He blended in with the group so much that our parents asked the next day if we had hired a wedding videographer at all - lol.

We were utterly blown away when we got our video back - Ben beautifully captured every major moment and even some we didn’t realize had happened. He really understood the essence of the day and translated it perfectly in the final product. We’ve watched the video around 100x and laughed, cried, and reminisced (sometimes all at the same time). Our friends and family across the country were blown away and though it’s been weeks since we shared the video publicly we are still getting comments, like: “Your wedding video was so cool - I’ve never seen anything like that” “best wedding video I’ve ever seen”, “your wedding looked insane - like a music video”. Ryan and Tina did an amazing job our wedding video. I honestly wasn’t even sure I wanted a wedding video but after being talked into it, and now have gorgeous, fun curated footage of our wedding day (+plus raw footage!), I could not be happier! Do yourself a favor and book them. They knocked it out of the park.

We worked with the sister company After It All and Ben was our videographer. We are so happy with how our video turned out. We probably watched it hundreds of times by now. Ben gave us a lot of direction on what would look good on film and the results did not disappoint. Highly recommend working with this company.

Our experience with Ben from Forged in the North far exceeded expectations. We decided to book a videographer at the very last minute - three weeks before our wedding - and the team was incredibly helpful, responsive, and flexible in finding a way to work within our budget to get great footage of the parts of the day that were most important to us. While there, Ben was the best kind of fly on the wall - many of our guests didn't even realize we had a videographer present. I can’t recommend them enough! Tonhya made my wedding day. She made everything easier, not just the photography! She really went above and beyond and was like my little fairy godmother, looking out for me and offering to help in any way. She spent an hour with two hair dryers trying to dry my dress after an unforeseen downpour. She acted calm, even in the midst of chaos. Highly recommend this company if all their photographers are as great as Tonhya!

Our wedding photos were the most important things to us when planning, and we couldn't have made a better decision than working with Jennifer, Ryan, and the rest of the After It All team (Forged in the North's sister company)! Not only were the photos exactly what we had hoped for, but the entire experience from day one was a true pleasure and partnership. Let me get into the details.like most couples in 2020, we had to reschedule our wedding due to the pandemic. We were to get married in April 2020, postponed to August, and eventually decided to have a small elopement and save the big party for when it was 100% safe to do.

We had many vendors to coordinate with as our wedding changed quickly. Through it all, the team at After It All stood out to us out of all our vendors as true partners - they really felt like our friends trying to best navigate all the uncertainty together. First and foremost they showed compassion which we are so grateful for and will never forget.

From the very start, it was so easy working with the team. They were incredibly organized, the process was streamlined, and communication was prompt.

When we postponed our wedding the first time, Kait (the Studio Manager) and Jennifer (our photographer) were extremely accommodating. It wasn't lost on us that they had a lot to juggle with many clients and as a small business, but they consistently stayed calm, transparent, and collaborative to work together to discuss solutions. It was clear that even with their own stresses, their main priority was their clients and making sure we were all on the same page and happy with the alternative plan (which was not the same experience we had with other vendors!).

Stress and uncertainty can lead to negative emotions but with After It All, it has been nothing but the most positive experience in such a dark time.

We still wanted to have photos taken at our elopement and were thrilled that Jennifer was available to capture the memories. Even before we saw any of the photos, we were so grateful to spend the day with Jennifer as our photographer! Prior to the day, we discussed how we would try to be as safe as possible due to Covid-19. We felt very safe and assured before and during the day.

Jennifer made us feel so comfortable and kept us laughing all day. Going into it, we knew we'd feel a little awkward but Jennifer's ease, kindness, warmth and professionalism made us feel totally natural and even better, she captured pictures that we were hoping for exactly - natural and not overly posed. Jennifer gave great direction without being too strict. We had the best day and a large part was thanks to Jennifer who was a big part in setting the atmosphere for a fun and breezy tone!

Less than two weeks later, Ryan and the team were ready to show us our photos - and we were blown away! As two awkward people in front of the camera, we were expecting to only love a few photos from our elopement. We ended up LOVING nearly all of them! Compliments came pouring of what incredible shots we got that looked totally natural (even in a social-distanced setting!) and some candid, which is exactly what we had hoped for.

Finally, we are so grateful of the care that Ryan took with editing. The photos were perfect. The only ask we had was to edit out the advertisements on the table umbrellas that we did not expect. Ryan so graciously took extra time to edit those out of our photos.

I cannot stress enough what a perfect experience we had with After It All and can't wait to work with them again! It's clear that they are not only passionate about their photography but also their business and clients. You would be mistaken not to choose After It All! Thank you Ryan, Jennifer, & Kait!

We worked with Ryan and Ben for our wedding video and they were awesome to work with! Both were very personable and fun. They captured everything from our day without us realizing they were even there. We both hate being photographed/filmed, but Ryan and Ben made it feel natural and easy. The highlight video they put together was unlike any other wedding video we've seen. It truly captured the happiness and fun we all had on that day and was done perfectly! Due to COVID, we had to change our wedding date a couple times, but they were very understanding and flexible given the circumstances, which was a huge relief while replanning. After scrolling through countless photography portfolios and a few phone calls with our favorites, we ultimately decided to work with Forged in the North's sister company, After It All, for our wedding in August. It was one of the best decisions we made and our photographer Jennifer was FANTASTIC!

It was a lot of work and we were so grateful that we had such amazing partners in After It All.

From the beginning, it was so seamless working with them. They were so organized, communication was prompt, and everything was made simple. Moving on to the actual day! Even before seeing any of the photos, we were so thankful to spend the day with Jennifer as our photographer! She was so professional the entire time and made us feel so comfortable in our own skin. She kept us laughing and calm all day. Going into photos, we knew we would feel a little awkward but Jennifer made us feel so at ease. And even better, she somehow captured pictures that look so natural and not overly posed - exactly what we wanted! From the initial phone calls, to the day of, she truly listened to what we wanted and gave good direction without being strict. We had a blast on our wedding day and Jennifer's attitude was a big part of setting the tone for a fun and breezy atmosphere!

Ryan and the team edited and delivered our photos to us in under two weeks and we were blown away by the photos! Again, as awkward humans in front of the camera, we expected to love a handful of photos from the day. We ended up LOVING nearly all of them! We received so many compliments from friends and family members, particularly noting how natural the photos came out - again something we hoped for and somehow still managed to be produced even in a social distance world!
We had some hiccups with our venue and glaring advertisements on the umbrellas on the table, and Ryan so graciously took extra time to edit those out for us. Again, working with Ryan directly was so positive and seamless and it is clear that he takes a lot of care and passion in his work!

I can't stress how wonderful After It All is - you want them to photograph anything special to you! We can't wait to work with them again at our big wedding party and beyond!

Not your cliche engagement pictures!

Ryan was an amazing photographer and highly flexible with our schedules. I would highly recommend this studio if you are looking for one of a kind pictures. Ryan captured our relationship in a candid way, that was not overly posed nor cliche. Absolutely love how the pictures came out and the photoshoot itself was very fun!
