I never review but I am disappointed by the East Village location. I’ve been multiple times to get my hair done since I had heard so many great things about the salon and their stylists in the past. When I started going in 2019, the stylist always booked me into my next appointment so I was continuously locked in (I’m not sure if other stylists do this) Which is fine, but it’s really pricey for middle-ground work. I was never blown away. Then, in early 2022 I believe, I went back to try and get my hair done and there was a break-in. A man came in holding a knife, asking for money and looted the register. The stylists were rattled but when he finally exited with their stuff, they laughed — there wasn’t an owner in sight or a phone call to them. It was only the stylists in the salon and they went right back to their clients. I was shaking in the back of the salon where I ran and looked around for exit doors in the back (I didn’t see any, I wasn’t pointed to any). I was really frightened. They shook it off and I left without getting my hair done, telling them to cancel my appointment. I still think about it. I’m no Karen, but the lack of care for their clientele felt uncomfortable. I won’t be going back here.

Jen was great - knowledgeable and listened to my wants, place was clean and fresh, good customer service. Will be my new spot for haircuts!

I’ve been to Val twice now and she does fantastic work at a fair price. My blonde highlights were super consistent and just what I was looking for each time. She is lovely, and I’m glad to have found someone I trust to do my hair for the future!

Jen was my stylist for a much needed cut and treatment. Not only did she leave my hair looking super chic, but she was happy to chat through blow drying techniques and guide me through tips on at home styling. Jen is super knowledgeable and has tremendous experience.

Really good service! I have extremely dark hair but despite that I got almost the color I wanted (wasn't expecting that color to show up even a little), just great!

One of the worst haircuts I have ever received.

The woman cutting my hair was extremely rude and I will have to grow back my hair for a full year to get it back to normal.

My head looks like a two year old cut my hair.

I had a great cut with Marissa! She was super thorough, cut my hair just right for its texture, and I know the cut will last as it grows out. Super happy!

It was my first time coming to Fox and Jane and Bianca did a beyond wonderful job with my full blond highlights! She took the time to listen to what I wanted, look at pictures of what I was going for, and gave me different styling options that she thought would work best. It's been a while since I've found a salon in NYC to get my highlights done and I believe I've found my place! I will 100% be coming back!

I’ve been here a few times so far and Angela and Caitlyn are awesome! Angela’s attention to detail when she cuts hair is amazing. Caitlyn’s color skills are awesome and she made it a very lovely experience.

Marissa did such a lovely job with my haircut! I asked for long layers and curtain bangs and she delivered. I was also able to discuss other hair treatments and products with her and she was very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

I would highly recommend Marissa for all of your hair needs. I've been back to her twice for a haircut and some coloring and she's been fantastic! Marissa is also the first stylist I've ever had who said my natural hair (which is a bit wavy.and tangly) was beautiful! She hydrated it and diffused it at the end of my cut and I honestly never felt so confident wearing my hair down! If you have wavy hair and you're looking for someone to appreciate you, book Marissa!

Lucii has always done an excellent job at cutting my hair and getting it healthy again. I have a lot of hair and it’s very difficult to work with but Lucii has never had an issue. She’s done great layers, great bang trimming, great styling, and always has amazing tips to keep my hair healthy. I 100% recommend anyone to get your hair done, dyed, and cut by Lucii. She’s also very professional and keeps you comfortable while on her chair.

Athena did an AMAZING job with my highlights! She is professional, friendly, and very skilled at what she does. She also has wonderful "chair-side manner". She is careful to be gentle with my hair, explaining each step of the process. She even gave me some great tips for how to maintain my highlights. I highly recommend Athena. Thank you!

After doing some research online I found Chelsea on Instagram and she ended up doing an amazing job! I wanted to dye my hair for the first time so I was super nervous. We had a virtual consultation prior to our appointment and she recommended doing a gloss, a demi-permanent dye, instead of going full on. Her recommendation was perfect and the exact middle ground I needed. I ended up with a really georgous natural red tint and one of the best haircuts I've ever had. I highly recommend Chelsea! Especially if you want some guidance on a new style and color:)
