Beware of this website! I ordered a chair and immediately was told that the chair was backordered for 5+ months (this information was not available when placing the order or I wouldn't have ordered it). I canceled the order within 24 hours of placing it, the cancellation was approved, and 4 weeks later I still have not received the refund. I have emailed their customer service department numerous times and each time I'm told it's "in process". I have now placed a dispute of the charge with my credit card company.

This has cost me considerable time and frustration, and is beyond reasonable expectations considering that they never ordered the chair from the manufacturer in the first place. Additionally, their website should indicate availability (or lack thereof) so as to avoid these situations altogether.

I realize that I am not able to fill your pockets with money by placing an order but good businesses go above and beyond with customer service and this was not that. At ALL.

Your website says "Trusted by Interior Designers", yet cannot be bothered to give some simple product information to anyone unless they are placing an order.

I've never left a bad review in my life. There's a first time for everything I guess.

I really wanted to like this company, I found a desk for slightly less expensive than it was being offered on Anthropologie so I went for it. Mistake. On the bright side, the website estimated 4 week delivery and it showed up in less than 2 weeks. However, when it arrived in 2 boxes, one of the boxes was parts for the wrong desk. When I asked for the right half of my desk, they said the earliest they could deliver was over a month from then. When I spoke to customer service and the trucking company they both said the delivery would be towards the end of the afternoon. Flash forward one month, I wake up at 8: 30AM with missed calls and texts from the delivery company. I called customer service to ask if I missed the window or what? And I was told, they actually forgot to load my piece on the truck that morning and the next available delivery is over a month from now. I am supposed to have a New Years Eve Party and I have this half put together desk and giant box of a desk I didn't order just sitting in my living room for 3 months. It was not worth saving $100.

Never order again! I have ordered an expensive table from their website, but it has never been delivered! They just are ignoring the emails. From the beginning this company promised to deliver the table in September. But it's a mid of November already and there is no response from the company! The worst customer service ever!
Just for FYI, dear "France and Son", my order number is 185590. Any updates?

WARNING! Do not purchase furniture from this company no matter how stylish it is. I feel compelled to share the absolute ridiculous customer service my best friend experienced from France & Son. She placed an order for a pair of lamps over a month ago and received two defective lamps. When she communicated this error to the company, they asked her to prove it by wearing gloves to handle the products and sending copious pictures to be evaluated by their team. When the company finally reached back out to “accept” her return, it was over a week later, and they offered her store credit or a “full refund” less $183 in shipping costs that would be deducted. I understand that small businesses are struggling right now, and that businesses need to make money but it is appalling to me that they expect the customer to pay for their company’s issues with quality control. Not only will my friend not receive the lamps she ordered, but she has now paid $183 to this company and the only thing she’ll have to show for it is a months worth of effort and follow up on her part and horrible unyielding customer service on behalf of Meghan and the France & Son customer service team. I have worked in customer service and understand it can be difficult, but under no circumstances do I find it appropriate or acceptable for a business to scam you out of hard earned money to fix a mistake that was theirs to begin with. Shame on France & Son for this lack of problem resolution and their complete disinterest in making it right with their customers.

I purchased 4 dining chairs « in stock » one month ago and they are still not able to give an estimated delivery date. I wrote to their customers services and the only answer I received was « it will be shipped in couple of weeks ».

Beautiful products, good prices.but it's not normal in 2021 that you can't give an estimated delivery date.

I had just finished a great experience with France and Son. I live in a hard to deliver location, so I get a lot of cancellations. I worked with them to make sure they could deliver to me without an issue, and they came through. The product and service were both excellent.

Be careful when buying from France and Son.

Sales person sold me a table with expedited shipping - to deliver before Christmas. Followed up on tracking and spoke to customer service. Table will not be delivered before Christmas, earliest first week of January - not guaranteed. Customer service apologized for the sales person but could not expedite to meet what I was offered.

This is the worst company to deal with. I ordered a Light fixture and needed it by a certain time. They quoted a time and it was going to be delayed by many weeks. I asked to cancel the order as it had not even shipped. They will not refund me the entire amount and are minus $50. I asked for proof of shipping from the manufacture (provide me with a tracking number to prove that they had already shipped from there manufacture. They declined.

Many times after I made my purchase I asked for a delivery ETA and the customer service department wouldn’t respond. The service is absolutely terrible and dealing with them feels like one of those scammer websites.

In the end I found the exact same fixture on Amazon for half the price and they have provided me with a tracking number from China and also a delivery date that is within my timeline. If I could give them zero stars. I would.

UPDATE: I don't know how to reply to the owner who replied under my review, but I was NEVER offered a replacement OR store credit, which I gladly would have bought something else from your shop. The customer service person offered no options but for me to pay to return it! In the meantime I have emailed about this after the owner responded and it's been radio silence.

My orginal review: I bought an expensive chair that had an obvious manufacturer's defect. I submitted photos minutes after I got the chair, but they would not let me return it unless i was willing to pay a considerable amount to ship it back. I hate this chair and cannot even sell it because it looks like it's worn on the seat and I have never used it. I will never purchase from them again.

The furniture is terrible quality and often arrives stained or damaged. I ordered a sofa and matching chair. The sofa arrived with a stain and started losing its shape after two months. The chair I ordered a few weeks later. The first one that arrived was a completely different color from the couch and had stains everywhere. It was swamped out and now it is more similar in color but slightly yellow and the fabric is different. Since the whole ordeal took so long and the shipping of the chair took four months I am now unable to return or swap out the sofa. Customer service is rude and unhelpful. Do not shop from here.

They delivered a damaged piece which was clearly mentioned/written on the delivery note of the 3rd party they work with. Photos were taken and they left with a promise to come back Monday to fix or replace. It has been more than a month with emails back and forth and they are yet to acknowledge, apologize and replace the piece. I would avoid buying anything here at all cost. In case they jump in and deny, the order was under R. Neves with order #191862

Worst customer service. They delivered the sectional with a missing piece that they could not find anymore. We barely got our money back and now we are stuck with an incomplete piece of furniture. Horrible service.

If i could give zero stars i would.bought a piece of art they confirmed as "in stock" in june and have yet to receive it.i have been lied to eight separate times about when it's shipping (august 8! September 29! November 12! Next week!), and been subjected to nonsensical scripted and conflicting reasons for the delay.covid / supply chain delays are understandable.but to be so dishonest from the beginning about whether an item is even in stock and then continue to lie about when it's shipping is shocking to me, naive as that may be.perhaps if they managed customers' expectations regarding shipping times instead of pulling the old bait and switch, they wouldn't get so many horrible reviews.i finally gave up and cancelled and have no doubt that getting my refund from these clowns will be an ordeal in itself.do yourself a favour and stay away at all costs.

Horrible customer service. I’ve been waiting over 4 weeks for a refund for counter stools that were cancelled on their end due to “unavailability”. Still currently chasing them down to issue a refund. Their answer every time is “I’m not sure why they haven’t processed the refund yet, I’ll do it now” and then nothing happens. Ridiculous.
