Frankie & Johnnie's Steakhouse, New York NY

The service was great the steak was delicious but the side of lobster mac and cheese and the potatoes were a bit water for my taste and the seafood tower was a let down since it came with so little seafood. You can see in the picture that was for 2 people before we started eating.

Cooking a good steak is not that difficult. Cooking a great steak well, that's another thing!
Getting the drinks and hot food to the table it a timely manor sounds simple enough. But many servers get a fail on this. I have never given a five star review in my life. We were in New York from Ottawa Canada for three days.
Great city great trip! The meal we had at this restaurant with all NY has to offer was by far the highlight of our trip! I'm being serious. Thomas and all the staff made us feel like movie stars. Thomas was fast, and attentive, making us amost feel that we had a baby sitter looking out for all needs. All while having the time to chat, laugh and share in the pleasue of our visit. So if you are tripping to New York and as yet it hasn't been memorable. Visit F & J. It will make up for any sort cummings that crazy NY may have left in your memory! So to Thomas all the staff.

The service was attentive. Unfortunately we visited very early as we were taking in an early show and they had just opener for dinner. I was hoping for a well seasoned porterhouse, which we didn't get. The sides felt rushed. Atmosphere was as expected which was great. We would like to try again a little later at night.

Me and wife are staying near the restaurant. We decided to check it out and 110% pleased. The food was amazing and the service was great! I would definitely recommend the restaurant and will be eating here again.

We were disappointed. Some of the food was ok. The chicken parmigiana was soggy and tough almost as if it was a reheated frozen meal. The fillet and lobster were better. The bread was served promptly after we sat down but unfortunately was very dry as if it had been sitting out all day in the open air. Quality did not match the high prices.

The food was incredible and my waiter was friendly and was very knowledgeable about how the food was prepared. The extra bonus was the great music.

Great Steakhouse off of 8th Ave. Good drinks and reservations are preferred but can accommodate you at the bar if needed.

Waited over an hour for a table even if we had reserved. 20% gratuity was already in the check and could not be changed. Good food.

The Staff was very attentive, but not overbearing. Friendly across-the-board, from the Host to the Server and everyone in between. Meal was exceptional. Our Filets we're cooked perfectly and the lobster tails may have been the best I have ever eaten. Wine selection is quite solid as well. We loved it.

The staff was nice, the bread and soup and the steak were all excellent, but the mashed potatoes and broccoli were subpar. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were from a bag and the broccoli was overdone and bland. For the price you pay it was overall a disappointing meal. I would not recommend this place

We will be going back without question. Best lobster tail I ever had and filet mignon was amazing. Oh, and a guy named Frank Sinatra used to hang out there. Highly recommend!

The food, the service, excellent. Great bar area, you can easily watch the game. Had the Surf and Turf, the lobster was cooked perfectly, as was the filet minion. This was my first trip to New York, on this night, it was our last meal in New York, and it was perfect.

This place was wonderful. A friend had a group dinner here we had our own private room and bathroom on the 2nd fl. Food was delicious they did not disappoint. Will definitely visit them again

Classy ambience. Really nice restaurant and the staff were really kind.
Me and my wife both enjoyed the black pepper steak with cheesy potato and onion rings.
All was awesome, maybe to much expensive for what they offers.

We took our daughter to dinner for her first New York City steak dinner at Frankie and Johnnie’s…couldn’t have been happier! Our waiter (who was from Romania…I’m so angry I can’t remember his name) was amazing. The food was superb and the atmosphere was phenomenal.
