What a great community! I’m sitting at one of the studio’s parties and blown away! My fiancé and I came to learn a dance for the wedding and we’re continuing to come here because it’s so fun! Great instructors, good price and just wonderful!

My now-husband and I blew away our wedding guests with our first dance, thanks to dear Katarina and the rest of the lovely staff at Fred Astaire! My husband and I had some basic, past experience with ballroom dancing, but we were definitely out of practice before our lessons. In four lessons, we learned a basic waltz that incorporated several eye-catching moves. Katarina was detailed in her explanations and taught us more than just dance. She encouraged us to present ourselves confidently and elegantly. If you want a first dance so beautiful that it moves your friends and family to tears, I would highly recommend this business!

This is such a great dance studio! The instructors are so professional and are so kind! This is such a great dance studio that the first day you know so much! There are also different competitions and championships! I suggest to go here!

Awful business practices, high prices. The instruction from FA is generally good, but you're pushed into high cost packages that cover franchise fees for a parent company that is predatory and just awful. Go to an independent dance studio, get better quality for less money.

Packages from FA tend to feel like used car sales, high pressure, packages that take a bit of math to figure out what they actually cost. Another disappointing aspect is the "showcase", to show off your hard work and money spent, you get to pay money to show up, then pay money per dance (I'd get it if they were all at a different location but often they're in studio, the out of studio ones are even more money). You also have to either buy tickets for your friends to watch, or coerce them to pay. It can cost a couple $200+ for one showcase.

Everything from FA seems like way to line the pockets of the owners and the parent company.

I have been a student at Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Williamsville NY for several years, and enjoy it very much. They teach all styles of ballroom dancing, and you don't need a partner. The studio will match you with a professional teacher as partner. The instructors are all very professional and knowledgeable, and also friendly and encouraging. You can choose from a wide variety of styles of dances to learn, including Smooth dances such as Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, and Viennese Waltz, and also Rhythm dances such as Swing, Cha Cha, Rumba, Mambo, Bolero, or West Coast Swing, and others. Both private lessons and group classes are offered each week, and monthly social dance parties are also offered. The atmosphere in the studio is always fun, and it's a great way to meet other students who are friendly people sharing similar experiences. The dance practice is a great way to keep in shape mentally as well as physically. Your teacher will make you feel that you are able to do all these cool dances, and show off your style!

This is a phenomenal dance studio! The dancers are amazing and talented and very beginner friendly!

I have been taking ballroom dance lessons from Fred Astaire in Williamsville for several months now. My biggest surprise was that I could use these different dance styles to dance to almost any song in modern music. The dance skills I'm learning don't just apply to big band music from a few generations ago, but also to the music played at parties, clubs and bars today. The staff at Fred Astaire are experts who love what they do and are enthusiastic with passing that knowledge onto you. My instructor Monica consistently teaches me new moves for each dance style. She hones in at making adjustments to my moves that will make me a better lead. What is so cool is that if you are good at guiding your partner, she doesn’t even have to be familiar with the dance you two are doing. So, if l properly project the next dance move, I can dance with anyone at any skill level.

The team at Fred Astaire dance studio In Williamsville is AMAZING! My fiancé and I wanted to try out some lessons so we would have confidence on the dance floor for our wedding, and honestly, we have the best time while we are there. The team as a whole is very welcoming and fun to be around - can’t give them enough positive feedback!

This is quite an expensive place to learn how to dance! The Fred Astaire teaching method does not work well for everyone. Yes, it's a franchise ballroom dance studio, hence the pricing and a rigid curriculum. However, some people thrive there as dancers. In the end, it’s a matter of personal tastes and preferences.

I have been coming To Fred Astaire Dance Studios since 2014. The entire staff is like family to me. My dance partner, Monica, is always friendly, fun to dance with, and a true Professional! I always leave knowing i have learned something new and leave with a smile! EVERYONE is knowledgeable and helpful there. I highly recommend Fred Astaire to anyone.
