FreedomCare CDPAP - Manhattan reviews
184 stars because the onboarding process is quite long.from applying to first paycheck was 7 weeks.and you can't blame it all on waiting for the state assessment.
In my opinion, they should have one case worker during the beginning process. It was quite frustrating as I would get one person who would say all my paperwork was good then I would get another person who would say oh no you still need such and such. I got so frustrated I ended up asking for a supervisor for some straight answers. Even after I was hired and went through the call with my client and myself the lady told me I could work and I ended up having a question and I ended up calling and again got a different answer saying oh no you can’t work yet you still have to do a. B.and c.
I am finally working for my clients and it is so rewarding to be able to care for a couple I grew up across the street from since I was in 2nd grade! It is so rewarding! So in this regard, I LOVE freedom care! I have been able to make some fantastic changes to my clients life to make his life easier! In fact, his neighbor is quite jealous my second parents have care like my clients! He keeps asking for me!
Again, once you get through the process, which can be easily. Streamlined to avoid frustration or people giving up, the work is very rewarding!
Good provider allowing me to care for my mother who recovered from cancer but needs long term care. The process wasn't hard, and I'm now a working caretaker as well.
I work for Freedom Care, currently taking care of my mother. I could not be happier working here. And my coordinator, Umayyah, is incredible! Always get through very quickly when calling. Always get a reply within 10 minutes, literally! The whole team is hands down great! I would recommend again and again!
I love the fact that you get paid on time without any stress or any issues in between very good company.
I love the way u call to make sure that everything is going good, how u care about my well bring
Once you get signed up with this agency it is impossible to get someone on the phone to assist in any fashion.my coordinator changes weekly so even if i send an email no one will get back to you.my caregivers pay has been messed up several weeks in a row and I can't talk to anyone to correct the situation. I'm just not pleased with the customer service at all
Only giving a 4 because it takes a very long time to speak with someone if you have an issue. Otherwise could not be happier!
Freedom Care is the most wonderful surprise I got some much needed help with my son. He is critically ill and he does not leave home at all. I take care of everything and talk to the doctors, pharmacists and I do all the cooking and running. Thanks to Freedom Care I can do the up keep on my car and buy the extra food that a Cystic Fibrosis patient has to eat.

They are really great and on time with your payments and they will come visit! I think they are very Good at helping Caregivers.
Living with Fibromyalgia is very hard not just the pain you just don't know how you're going feel from day to day, that's why it is very convenient to work with Freedom Care and have my son as my caregiver. I am new so I will come back later with an update.
Only issue I have is that it took months to get everything approved. I don't think it was a Freedom issue though, I think it was a dept of aging issue or something holding it up with a back log, because my mom had another company at the time, so the dept was trying to get the ones who " didn't have help" get set up.
The process is quite lengthy but worth the effort. I am happy that the person who has been helping me is getting compensated for her efforts. Thanks Freedom Care.
Freedom Care is a wonderful employer! They really care about the employee and the patient.
My experience with freedom care was not what I expected at all. Because to be honest anytime I have to do something for my elderly parents it ends up becoming a very long and tedious process and don't get me wrong I love my parents to death, and I'm the only child so obviously I have no sibling competition so there's absolutely nothing on this planet that I wouldn't do for them. But the process at freedom càre was so fast and easy that my father and I are upset that we didn't join freedom care 3years ago. I kid 6ou not if they asked me if I would mind doing it over ten more time s I would do it with out a blink. REALLY! THATS HOW SIMPLE IT IS.
Freedom care is the best caregiver service in new york where you choose your love one to care for you
Freedom Care employees are professional, patient and know and perform their jobs well. My only concern is that if and when a caregiver has any issues after business hours or on a weekend no one is available.
I would recommend Freedom Care to family and friends without reservation.
Absolutely no issues as of far. My father's quality of living has improved and I'm not losing money while I'm taking care of my father.
