Lovely camp for my daughter. She had the best time and performed in a show, as well as some other activities. Lots of talent there.

I have worked at french woods and it is a family owned and operated camp, who give abundantly to their campers as well as staff. So many well equipped activities and staff from all over the world to teach

I went to camp last year and it was amazing! There were many activities you could do! (Majors and Minors) There is theater, magic, photography, circus, music and more! No one judges you for anything, and you can get better and improve at things that are new or that you already know! All the counselors are amazing and so kind, they will talk to you or help you with anything! The food is also great, they have steak, pizza, a salad bar, and tons of other foods! The cabins and bathrooms are clean and organized, but make sure to bring lots of blankets because it gets cold at night! The nurses are also very helpful, if you have a stomach ache or if your sick! They make note in their computers! If you need help getting anywhere at all, you can always ask somebody and they will show you where everything is! Good Luck!: D

I attended as a kid and my kids attended for 8 summers. Absolutely fantastic for a kid who is creative, independent and enjoys doing his or her own thing. The camp was a personality-forming experience for us all.

First year but I immediately feel in love with it. Didn't want to go home when it ended. Definitely want to go on the future.

This camp is ASTONISHING! It's the largest Performing Arts camp on the planet, and their activities are all run by professionals.

Go session 1 if you're gonna go! A bit pricey, but sooo worth it! I got to see Dear Evan Hansen original cast while I was there-what an experience.

My son spent his 1st summer in 2017 at French woods. He went to camp unsure of how it would be, by the time the session was over and i went to pick him up he didn’t want to leave. The love and bond he built with staff and other kids from all over is amazing. He is so excited to return back this summer for his 2nd year. He’s already talking about what his majors are and how he can’t wait to see coach James

I love this camp so much. It has been a really good time going there over the summer, even if I get a little homesick sometimes. I can understand how some people get bullied, because there are some people there that are just JERKS, but otherwise it's a great camp with chill vibes.

Was bullied immensely there (the administration and staff didn't really do enough to stop it), the whole place has the stings of elite rich kids, was sexually harassed and again the staff didn't do much about it, and the guy who owns the camp is a sexist homophobic dude

Love Camp it is truly my home away from home. Love coming back year after year to a staff that gets to know and love everybody! If your considering french woods, take the chance and come, get ready for the summer of your life!

This is a top notch sleep away camp. The facilities are excellent. The staff is wonderful and international. The camp is located in a remote area of New York state in the Catskills.

So my friend went to this camp and wanted to leave early a week after arriving, but the day he was supposed to leave, they took everyone's phones away, so he was left without possible communication with his parents to pick him up. So he had to be patient and wait another two weeks. I called him and the phone didn't even ring, because apparently his dad turned off data on the phone because no one could use it.so I call the school after not hearing anything from him, and the man I talked to said that there were no cell towers in the area, and that he will tell him I called and he'll call back. But if there were no cell towers, then how could I have texted my friend for the first week of him being at camp? Well, He just got back today and told me what happened and that they did have cell crevice there and just took his phone away instead. The people I called couldn't tell the truth?

French Woods is the best place on earth! Your friends and counsellors and like your family. Everyone is super nice. FWF is just so much fun and I've been going for four years and I still have friends from my first year. Going back is the highlight of my year and I never want to leave!
