Supermarket Freshtown Marketplace reviews
15It's the only place to shop in town. It's OK. They have things like almond milk which can be hard to find in rural areas. However, it's more expensive than Hawaii. Absolutely insane prices.
Awfully high prices, spent $54 on 10 pack fireball, two frozen pizzas, a box cake, a Butterfinger candy bar, and small bag of frozen French fries.seems like a lot. The cashier was sweet though. Nice guy!
Staff is very helpful. The cashier though. Maybe it was a long day. Was a little bit harsh but they had everything that we wanted. Everything looked pretty fresh. I would definitely go back
Pretty decent local grocery store. I like to shop for produce and meat in person. Prices on meat are very reasonable. Usually well stocked shelves and super fast check out. The only down side is small aisles. Best to shop on weekdays in early part of day. Convenient parking lot in back of store.
As if prices at this store were not high enough, I have been over- charged a number of times. Today the person I assume is the manager gave me an argument even though I did the math for him on his own calculator. Eventually, he slapped the money I was owed down on the counter and stormed off. Of course, there was no apology. The man in line behind me said he has experienced being overcharged ten times this summer and was also there for a refund. I don't know why this happens, but I do know that if I walked out of the store with an item without paying for it, I would be guilty of theft.
A good solid supermarket. It has everything you need. A well stocked bakery, with decent bagels for upstate. And a decent selection of local items. Their produce selection while not bad should have more local items given its location.
There are many products for sale prices have gotten higher then the past more people visiting area has had store bring in more specialized items that are very hight priced and out of reach of those of us that live in area
Clean, bright and well-stocked small grocery was a great place to get shop during a recent trip to Margaretville. There was a good selection of local products, nice produce, and good meats. Lots of useful seasonal items too including flowers (got some nice potted mums), firewood and fall favorites. The staff was pleasant and helpful.
You spent too much money on products you could get elsewhere in Price Chopper or Walmart the only reason why the prices are so high in the store is it's local it's a terrible sore for prices do you want to spend the money take 30 minutes and go out of your way to go through a store that has better prices and better value
Nice market, good assortment of groceries.
The staff is friendly, the deli makes good sandwiches.
Sometimes the lines are a bit long, not sure about bathroom availability, but otherwise no issues really. A nice reliable supermarket.
Busier on weekends!
Good size supermarket well stocked and clean. Plenty of cashier's too so no long lines, customer oriented. Plenty of parking. If they were any better I couldn't afford to shop there!
Besides the place being a rip off! Always has been. The cashiers are rude! If you don't like your job don't work there! Simple as that!
Very expensive, but only market within 15 mes so they get away with it. Wish Great American hadn't closed, at least then there was competition!
They don’t offer complementary ice like other good grocery stores. I asked the person at the Deli dept & he didn’t have an idea of what I was talking about and had no interest in finding out so I wanted to speak with the manager but the woman at customer service didn’t want to call him, she said we could talk to her. So in trying to explain to her our need for ice and no one could solve the problem, another guy finally said “if I open a bag of ice for you, I’ll loose money on the bag” he didn’t care loosing a client or the sale of the meat, which was expensive,
