I had the tortilla soup and it was HUGE. The portions here are very large and the food was tasty. Great addition to the area.

Just came across this most beautiful & authentic latin place in our town of Plainview.
Drinks & food to die for specially our bartend Jose was awesome guy. He recommend my favorite Smoky old fashion! Just check out the video

Gave this place a second try. I became even more disappointed my second time. Drinks are overpriced for ice and cheap mezcal and food lacks ALOT flavor for the price. Something simple as beans had NO flavor very bland. I see what the owner tried to do here and tried to make an upscale Mexican restaurant in “upscale plainview” in a shopping center? Like really dude? Get the flavors right before you upscale your prices. I got more to write but it’s not worth it. Bring the menu and flavors from your place in seafood I’m sure your little upscale would do better.

My wife and I truly enjoyed Frida's. The place had a great ambiance and a comfortable setting.

We bellied up at the bar and had the pleasure of being served by the fantastic Helen!

The food was good and the Margherita was delicious. However, the main event was Helen - she was a superstar!

Helen was professional, personable, helpful and great at her job. We truly enjoyed her company and is someone who truly made our experience shift from good to great. We would come back primarily because of her and we will!

Had lunch here with a friend I hadn't seen in a while today. I was eager to try this restaurant since its predecessors were excellent. The service was on point and attentive but we didn't feel rushed. Everything we ordered was fantastic. The fried dishes weren't heavy or greasy at all. The salsa and sauces were very fresh and flavorful. My friend declared our dessert "the best gelato ever. " We left feeling full but not heavy. Excellent and will return for sure.

We had: queso fundido with chorizo, empanadas (one of each), Mexican Combo (quesadilla, flauta, chimichanga), chicken tostadas, and guava mango flutes for dessert.

First time at this restaurant and I have eaten in many Mexican restaurants. Food was amazing. Staff was very attentive. Atmosphere is great. If you have not tried it, please go. You won’t be disappointed.

Best addition to plainview! Trendy mexican restaurant, amazing food, and amazing service. Augustin was an incredible server, a complete sweetheart! Officially our new date night spot, 15/10!

I can only speak for the bar service. Drinks are good and creative but super expensive for the area. $18.90 for each cocktail is high. Empanadas and churros were very good. Bartender was very attentive. The vibes are great. I miss Craft, and most of all Cassis, but I wish Frida’s good luck. We’ll be back for a second try.

Yakshemash, Pls read Sharon review. This is Mexican food for white people (overpriced and lack of depth in Mexican flavor) cocktails are 20$ all ice lol. Look at Julie ceviche in her review, not only looks terrible, it has tilapia! The cheapest fish you can use. Ceviche must be use with Corvina! Yakshemash

Had high hopes for this place, from the outside looking in it looks trendy and fun and you'd assume the food fits the looks of a high end restaurant. I assure you the food didn't even come close but they sure did price it like it was a Michelin star establishment. Easily some of the worst Mexican food I've ever tasted, mostly frozen, reheated, terrible quality and all around bland food. When the chips and salsa come out first and you taste it and look at your date and you both laugh because they’re so bad, you know you’re in for a miserable night. Drinks priced at $20 as if you're at a rooftop lounge in Manhattan meanwhile you're sitting in a shopping center in the middle of Plainview with a beautiful view of Mattress Firm right outside the window! Avoid at all costs.

Frida's, Friday night at 6: 30, reservations for two. The place is very attractive, bar is about one quarter filled with variously aged customers, dining room is a mix of families and couples nestled in comfy banquets or marbled tables of two and four Bistro chairs.
Alex, the manager, greeted us with a big smile and brought us to our table, immediately our glasses were filled, menus placed before us and lightly toasted chips and salsa as well!
As our cocktails were served by our waiter Leo, we just felt relaxed and happy to see this new restaurant which replaced a very successful one that had been in this spot for years, begin it's journey in this neighborhood.
Frida's was filling up quickly after we arrived, this being the first Friday night that they have been open.
As our appetizer of a soft and warm shrimp filled taco arrived at our table, we noticed that the bar was now filled but with a totally new crowd. The first set of customers had moved to their respective tables without any interruption or commotion in the dinning room. Our main course, a grilled steak with a timbale of their special rice were served and devoured. DELICIOUS!
We normally are not dessert eater's but had seen some interesting ones heading to other tables so we gave in and ordered A "Mango Flute" as well as the Fried Ice Cream.
Desserts and coffee did not disappoint.
Just a lovely night.
Obviously, this new restaurant is going through the period when they are learning how their space, staff and menu will all work together so service was a little backed up but not without someone, an Owner and manager double checking with us several times throughout our visit.
Frida's is well worth a visit! Enjoy!

Stopped in for a cocktail and a snack. Gorgeous interior. Elected to sit outside and enjoy the sun. Lovely and knowledgeable wait staff. Tried one of their mezcal cocktails “La Diabla” and the ceviche. The cocktail is full and deliciously smoky with just a touch of sweetness. The ceviche was lush and fresh. Happy to come back for more.
