Friendly's, Cortland NY

I have soy and gluten allergies and asked for an allergy menu. The hostess rudely stated it was online. It wasn't. I tried explaining it to our waitress, and she did not offer alternatives or try to help. Just stated there was nothing she could do. This is partly why chains as such are going out of business, their staff is killing business. It really wasn't that busy either.

So glad there's still a Friendly's nearby! Haven't had their food in almost 10 years but nothing has changed, the food is still delicious! My go to is the BBQ chicken bacon melt, can never go wrong with that. They have a delicious variety of ice cream / sundaes to get as well. Perfect to come here with the family.

I like that there is a wide variety of options for vegetarians. The last few times I've been there the food has been better than usual. The waitress we had was great the food was what we expected and hoped for.

Friendly's is amazing. There food an staff is amazing. The whole experience is amazing every time.

Really just got ice cream, but the lady that I just talked to she was not very polite seemed like she didn’t care and kind of killed the atmosphere of the friendliest I used to know. The inside of the building is very dilapidated. The bathroom is old and ancient. He does have the old Friendliest vibe but it’s falling apart. Outside of the building is really dilapidated also.

Ordered online went to pick up my order and it was completely wrong. Was then asked to wait while another order was going to be cooked and at that point it was already 35 Mims since first order was created.

I order 2 friend-Z sundaes 1 was with peanut butter and the other without the lady does the peanut butter first than the non peanut butter one next without cleaning the machine my wife has a peanut allergy and I know lots of people do now please be careful order ice cream from here if you have nut allergies

Late night stop on the way back from upstate. Food was fresh, waitress super friendly and welcoming. Not much was open except fast food and it was nice to be able to sit down and have a bowl of soup and a sandwich.

This 5 star is just for Shannon who volunteered to make me some fresh coffee 30 minutes before they close. I really needed one after a long drive and they didn't have any more coffee left. She jumped out and said I can make some. Thanks Shannon. I regret why I didn't have cash to tip you. I even checked my car and no cash! Bummer

It wasn't very busy when I went. The waitress was incredibly polite and friendly. She was checking in fairly often. The food came out quickly. The wrap was good.
I saw all the tables with different ice cream. I wish I'd had more room because they looked so good. I'd definitely go back and try a dessert next time.

Got a table prettyfast. Ordered coffee and ice water which came quickly. The waitress took our order and it was delivered shortly.
I ordered a burger w onions and fries. My fries, as well as my wife's, were not much more than slightly warmish and seemed as if they had been sitting under a warmer for while (dried out). My burger tested great but could have used more than the one, 1inch ring of onion that was hiding under the bun. Wife's fried classic were great.
A warmup of coffee was just as luke warm as the original.
Our waitress was great and did a wonderful job of making the corrections needed to bring it up to a really good meal.

I know it's a family place but kids just looping around the restaurant, on top of my waitress being snobby at least the food was all right

4 stars for the nostalgia of visiting a Friendly's, but the meal was sorely overpriced for what we received, and my menu selection ended up being unavailable

Really good food except the fries need a little work. Friendly people and good atmosphere.

It would be SO great if they got orders correct. A BBQ chicken melt is NOT a BBQ burger. Thanks for sending something we won’t eat. And thanks for packing the milkshake UPSIDE DOWN.

Sorry. Didn't mean to give a bad rating. It was nice to go to Friendly's again. Food and service were both excellent.

As we drove to AC from Rochester NY we were told it is one of the oldest Friendly restaurants

Ice cream soda was poorly made and out of what we wanted to order. Yes it was busy but this was too much Second time we have been here when the soda was not good

Place was really good I have to say the waittres was very nice I left my wallet in the restaurant she tried to catch up with me when I went back for it she gave it back and I didn't have to wait long
