Fujisawa Asian Bistro and Bar, Sheepshead Bay Rd

Awesome food, great vibes from this new sushi spot in Sheepshead. Price is standard for sushi in the area but the flavors and presentation were really really great. Our favorite roll and definitely a must try was the sambal tartare! (no picture because we ate it too quick it was that good) and the fish in every roll was super fresh. Really great ambience for a date night spot and I recommend the sushi/sashimi platters if you want something with beautiful presentation, and arguably a better deal and quality than the rolls. Overall a great spot, definitely coming back

They open recently, but definitely one of the best sushi in Brooklyn.

I had the pleasure of eating here on 11/8/2023 with my wife. Let's start with the space: I would describe it as Industrial/Chic. The owner and Manager spent alot of money on renovations and it is evident in the Nautical colors and touches near bar/sushi bar. The benches and seating area are upholstered very nicely in leather and are very comfortable. The food is very good and fresh. ROLLS: pretty good/fresh and nicely presented similar to the best places in area. APPETIZERS: outstanding. The Manager will help/and perhaps recommend what to try as they sometimes have new appetizers weekly. OYSTERS: Amazing unfortunately they only had 5 but we made the best of them. Wine/Beer: wine not extensive at moment *new place* but extremely fairly priced and adequate for the menu. We chose a glass of New Zealand Sauvignon and then a bottle.

*** IF you take into account that the Manager Mr. Calvin is an outstanding person and hospitable and caring, and the staff is trying hard to please.you definitely should visit ASAP. I am hoping this place will be a mainstay for the area for many years! Had a problem with phone and pictures and was only able to upload Sushi Pizza.

New sushi place, nothing special tastes like the rest of the sushi restaurants in sheepshead bay. Regular rolls are $5-6.

Came into this place on a whim with my girlfriend. First off the atmosphere was great and the place was clean. The staff was super kind and attentive. The food was very delicious, from the crab rangoon to the sushi and ramen. Usually I’m skeptical of sushi and fusion places that do ramen but this was actually very very flavorful and authentic. I will happily be back for the food and service.

Ordered food once for pickup for my workplace coworkers. Very good and fresh food. Staff seemed friendly as well and eager to show some good service.

We’ve visited this place three times to date, and every time we’ve received amazing service and great food. Sushi and sashimi boat for 3 was amazing, ceviche was exquisite, Moscow and other rolls were great, in fact anything we’ve ordered was of great quality and impeccable execution. I highly recommend!

I stumbled upon this restaurant and decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint. The food was too notch. The flavor, the serving size and the options were all on point. I tried the basil garlic shrimp, calamari, mango shrimp, lemongrass shrimp and green tea ice cream. My plate was empty at the end of my meal. The service was also amazing which made the experience even better. The server was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is also very relaxing and cool. Light music playing in the background.

All day in week the chef serves only fresh fish, it’s unique place with ultra nice service, very patient and professional waiters. Kitchen stuff is doing amazing work, food always fresh, tasty, and served right.

So, if you want real sushi or sashimi you should come here because of chef Mr. U aka Alex and ONLY FRESH FISH

I had a meal at Fujisawa restaurant and found that the food in the kitchen was rubbish, the sushi ingredients were also rubbish, not very fresh, and the service attitude was very poor. As a consumer, I suggest that you don’t eat in such a place.

This review is long overdue! Fujisawa is a new restaurant in the Sheepshead Bay area that has quickly became my favorite.

I originally went to order Chicken Katsu and miso soup, (my go to order when going to Asian restaurant) however upon getting there and reading the diverse and engaging menu I decided to try something new. I ordered my Katsu and soup along with the Crispy Duck Roll, Shrimp Shumai. My Katsu was fried to P E R F E C T I O N. My soup was delicious and was at the perfect temperature. The crispy duck roll was soooo good - the duck skin was crispy but the meat was juicy (a perfect combo in my opinion). The Shumai was delicious & perfectly made. I decided to keep the ball rolling by asking for a suggestion for a speciality roll and was helped by one of the staff to try the Sambal Tartare roll. And that too, was a hit! I ended the night with a classic and my favorite desert - Tempura Ice cream (green tea flavored). After desert I ordered another other round of Tartare roll, and Shumai togo to eat with my Katsu leftovers I had.

Based on the food quality, atmosphere and the customer service I expected my bill to be anywhere from 200+, but I was SHOCKED to see that my bill was only $90 and some odd change. It was to the point where I had to check if they charged me for everything lol. This restaurant is fairly priced.

I had the opportunity to thank the staff for the meal. Me and a gentlemen named Calvin (who I assume is a owner/manager) spoke for a while and he let me know they opened June 2023. I had to let him know what a great time I had at the establishment. He was very cool and friendly and genuinely wanted my input on everything. I wished him and the restaurant the very best.

I am astonished to know that this restaurant has such great atmosphere, food and service but isn’t packed with a line out the door! I hope with my review matrons will read this and decide to give this restaurant a chance. I know that soon this establishment will get the recognition it deserves.

I don't usually review many places, but this restaurant has some of the best food. I've been looking for a long time for a good Japanese restaurant where I can get decent rolls, and I found it! The rolls were fresh and the wasabi didn't taste artificial like other places I've tried. I also think the price matches the quality and quantity. Can't wait to place my next order.

New open Asian fusion restaurant. The menu is mostly Japanese with 1/4 of menu as Thai items. The price was moderate. Maybe is because it’s new. They offered special fish item in the Sushi Sashimi platter. This made the dish exceptionally well worth for the price. The Thai dish was ok.

Delicious food friendly service I order 3 times a week and will continue to do so uni is great

A nice atmospheric Japanese-style place with excellent Asian cuisine. We ordered Tom Yang soup and ramen was very tasty.
