You have to know that Fundrise works with Illiquid and long-term investments (eREIT’s) and they are very open about that. It’s a great way of diversifying your investments and they are GREAT at communicating changes both in their platform and the market. I’m very satisfied so far (i’ve been with Fundrise for about 3 years).

Investing from 2018 july onwards. If you are long term investor and looking for good return, this is best investment.

Fundrise really is a great crowdfunding platform, especially as a new investor. They send you track updates about any new acquisitions so you know exactly what your money is being invested into. As stated in other reviews, do not invest blindly. However, if you have an interest in investing this is a great tool for anyone to begin with. Even if you are a seasoned, or an experienced investor this is a great addition to any portfolio. A big "Thank You" to the people at Fundrise, and I really loved the podcast as well.

Great way to diversify your portfolio. I see a lot of the negative reviews are because it is hard to pull your money out. Fundrise is very transparent about the process and fees. It is a long-term investment.

Fundrise is very clear about what happens with your money after you invest.
Information is free, do your research, don’t come here and spoil it for the rest of us.
I’m at starter fund and my money is doing great even with the economic nonsense going on in the market. The housing market is doing great now and I’m guessing that’s why. If the housing market dips, I EXPECT THAT MY RATE OF RETURN WILL DIP TOO. I see a lot of dumb comments about how their rate of return is different from what was said on their website. Ok and? It’s a bloody estimate which depends on the market, grow up or don’t invest.

My wife and I have been very fortunate with our investment in Fundrise. Over the past five months, we've accrued nearly $2,500 and we're projected to earn $5,000 over the year. Where Fundrise excels is in it's long-term growth. If you're looking to make a fast buck or you lack the motivation to do your due diligence in where your money is going and what it's doing for you, then Fundrise may not be for you. For smart investors looking for a safe long-term investment, we both believe that Fundrise is the way to go.

Been there since 2018 and invested in their capital raise.
In the long term growth fund and it has returned 10% annually.
Can't complain.

Fundrise is the very best Crowdfunding platform that I have found. I love the broad diversification of properties in each fund which minimizes risk IMO. They have been in business for nearly 10 years with a stellar performance track record. They are totally transparent with all their transactions which I love and as so many of my family and friends that have invested with Fundrise. They share each and every move they make with you through their investor portal through notification's. I have been invested with Fundrise for over 2 years now and I have entrusted in them with a very large position and the returns have been astounding. Investing with Fundrise is a much safer bet with all the diversification rather than investing in say a single property with other crowdfunding platforms and many times you are in the dark with their past performance IMO. I always recommend Fundrise to anyone that wants to be invested in real estate without the day to day aggravation. I would never own local real estate ever again with all the maintenance and aggravation that goes with it. I find Fundrise very professional, smart, and hard working people. I trust Fundrise!

Fundraiser is a great way to invest. Check it out. I'm up nearly 20% that's great returns. Please read all the fine print and check out reviews online before investing and don't just blindly dive into it. It's been good for me, though, absolutely

Wow, what an amazing experience with FundRise so far. I started my account in 2020. The dividends and appreciation have been 15%-18% steadily. Investor fees on almost $4k have been satisfactory as well. Two of my coworkers now have accounts set up and they are satisfied. I also set up another account in my wifes name, since we liked the platform so much. I highly recommend FundRise! A+

I'm about 5 months in and love my investments, support, and ease of portfolio mgmt. Really happy I found them and love the concept and their management of the money, projects, portfolio. Fees aren't substantial and to me, it's worth every penny. Great concept for diversification. Just got my IRA started so now have both sides covered.

So Far, So good. I have been an investor for 6 months now and have been earning approx. 10% returns. You definitely do not want to put all your cash into this as it will be locked up for the long term but it is so much better than using Bonds.
Update: After 3 years of investing with Fundrise, I have been getting a steady 8% return without needing to move funds around, just using the default investment strategy, even during the Covid Pandemic.

I read the reviews about how long it takes to get your money back, and I was OK with it. It’s illiquid. However, after a quarter, I was notified that I’d made. 02%. Wow! I was also not happy with the platform, investments, or customer service. So now I’m in the long wait for my investment return. If you want real estate exposure, buy tome REITs on the open market.

You have to request a withdrawal for your money, then it takes them four months just to "review" your request (still waiting). You shouldn't have to wait this long to get your money back. Do yourself a favor and invest elsewhere.

I’ve been trying to get in touch with somebody from this company for the last 4 months. They have no customer service number to call only an email that NO ONE ANSWERS. I have a simple issue that should never ever have gotten to this point of anger. My work email is attached to the login. I no longer work for that company so I can’t access it. They don’t give you any options to verify yourself when you get locked out of your account. They keep sending the six digit verification to an email that no longer exist. I am pulling my money out once this gets resolved and never working with them again. They have the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with.if somebody does not contact me within the next week and resolve this I will be writing a letter to the Better Business Bureau. STAY AWAY!

Fundrise unequivocally misleads new investors with inflated projected/expected returns in all their literature and investor testimonials, they lock in investor money for 5 years with severe redemption penalties, and then pay returns that are lower than the best CDs. Yes, that’s right — my CDs from 2017 perform MUCH better than this account has ever done, which is alarming and troubling on so many levels (you wouldn’t even expect the two to be remotely comparable, but that’s how poor Fundrise performs). When I read everything about Fundrise in late 2017 and early 2018, I was interested in trying it out and seeing if the hype was genuine, however, now 3 years later, I must warn other potential investors to put your money elsewhere. It’s understood that this is intended to be a longer term investment without immediate or short term liquidity (duh! It’s eREITs) however the returns are truly minuscule and nowhere close to what was advertised at sign-up, or what a reasonable investor would ever expect, especially for REITs (returns are far, far below the amounts advertised in marketing materials which function to lure new investors onto the platform with false expectations that larger amounts put in will yield larger returns — it’s not true).

My return for 2020 was 9.8%. Fundrise is set up to be used as a long-term investment (5+ years). You're investing in property when you invest with Fundrise, which is fundamentally an illiquid investment—eReits are NOT publicly traded and thus you can't just sell your shares at any time, hence why liquidations take time. The reviewers saying they "hide" this information from you or that it's a "scam" are wrong—Fundrise makes you check a box before you deposit money explaining exactly how many days it would take to liquidate your investment should you want to withdraw it, why it can't be immediate, what the penalties are for early withdraw (1-3% with an exception of the first 90 days being fee-free), and so on and so forth. Please read all the small print and understand the nature of what you're investing in, regardless of what it is.
P. S. The fact that eReits don't need to maintain liquidity could mean higher return potential.

SCAM! TLDR Don't invest with them! Read on for details. I put my money into a starter fundrise account and found many horrible surprises. The projected return is posted as 8%+ but I was getting only 2% annually. Also, your money has to stay in the account for 5 years or get a penalty for early withdrawal.withdraw your funds early? Penalty fees are 90day-3yrs 3%, 3-4yrs 2%, 4-5yrs 1%. The process of withdrawal is very cumbersome.
I had to request for withdrawal and agree fo the fees and then wait 60days for approval! Yes, it is possible for fundrise to deny your money withdrawal request. Then wait another 5days for money to transfer back into bank account. Fundrise mobile app disabled the ability to screenshot to hide this information from the public.
