One of the worse restaurants I have ever been to. Dirty tables, very loud and the food was nothing to write home about. The service took over 45 minuted from ordering to eating, I left most of my meal there, and could not find our waitress to leave. This was not a fun experience at a ll!

The Garage Taco Bar Checklist:

Long wait to be seated with multiple open tables
Takes over 30 minutes to be given water and asked for our order
Takes over AN HOUR AND A HALF after ordering to get our food
Guacamole stale, watery, and flavorless
Fries that are tasteless and soggy, like microwaved frozen fries from the frozen food section of Walmart
Tacos are cold, soggy, and stale, with flavorless sauce
Cauliflower tacos too sweet to the point of being inedible
Surf n turf taco has flavorless meat and disgustingly salty shrimp
Barbacoa taco has zero flavor
Chips are stale and flavorless
Cannot get refills of water despite asking

Waitress was very nice though, seems like a management problem

Showed on a limited menu day, but still was great! Nice, fun vibe with outdoor seating. Also a great-tasting carnitas taco with really well prepared beans and rice on the side all wrapped up with a sweat and spicy pineapple salsa. We will be back:)!

Delicious and fast! So flavorful and the space is so lovely and full of art that’s for sale. Years ago I came here waiting for a bus out of Bing and discovered Studio Sophia Sophia earrings, which are gorgeous jewelry. The food is so good and filling. Also, if you’re into it, you can bring a cup of wine or beer to-go on the bus. Love this place so much for a stop pre-bus back to nyc. 10/10 food
Dr. Pepper barbacoa tacos are insane

Delicious food and great atmosphere! Tacos were outstanding as were the chirros! Corn dogs were good but I wouldn't say a must have. Chips and guacamole were ok. Staff were very nice and helpful definitely recommend!

This is a must-do stop on my way to Owego, NY! The cauliflower tacos (original recipe) are AMAZING! The atmosphere is fun and the drinks are delicious. The side salad is so different and delicious. Everyone I have brought here loves this place.

The food was inedible! The chicken taco tasted like a bucket of salt was dumped in the mix. The fish taco was over cooked, burnt and dried out. The guacamole dip was just a mashed up
Avocado no flavor. The beer glass was dirty and left floating debris in the beer. Will never go back!

Whoever is leaving anything higher than 1 start is lying. Loaded nachos had no flavor, drenched in queso cheese but queso cheese was defiantly store bought cause my blood pressure went up after all that sodium. I had 2 chicken tacos as my main meal. I ordered them as they come on the menu, no rice/beans. Chicken was so wet, like it was cooked in a crock pot, absolutely no flavor. It was dripping everywhere.

Took my sister here for her birthday Wednesday as been wanting to try it. Was thrilled at the variety of vegetarian and vegan item! I had the Cauliflower tacos with the fried guacamole on it (Amazing)! And she had the shrimp tacos! Probably the best Mexican food I have had since I left Colorado 25 + years ago! I can not remember our waiters name but younger male about 1pm. Very attentive to us, even though we ate out side. Great service. Only slight complaint I would mention is we would have ate inside but music was too loud that we could talk so we ate outside and fought with the bees. Considering I just got stung by a hive on Monday night by ground bees that was a little bummer? I still would give you a 9.5 as I loved food so much! We will be back! Hope you guys stay in business and expand! Kudos to our server too! Thanks, Patricia L. Donahue, MCJ

Went to lunch there. I had chicken tacos which I didn’t like. The chicken was canned and salty. The $4 broke margarita was just ok, nothing special. However my hubby had shrimp tacos that he liked and his fries were good. I probably won’t go back.

Stopped for a quick bit and looks like I found my favorite Taco place in Central New York. Such a nice place with amazing taco options and the drinks are amazing and the options are plentiful. The Michelada drink I had was the best in NY state. Trust me the tacos are sooo tasty and the sauces are just perfect. Could come back here again and again for a very long time.

Note: don't forget to bring appetite and be thirsty when you come here.

I’m actually really disappointed, because I’ve wanted to try this place for months after my friend and his girlfriend raved about it. Me and my spouse came on Thursday night, and the service was immediately off. We were handed two menus after being asked if bar seats were fine which usually isn’t a problem for us, (there were two tables that had yet to be bussed but they were pretty busy so we figured us sitting at the bar gave them more time). We sat ourselves, and then the only other interaction we had was the bartender asking how we were (and not saying anything when we said the same). There were multiple members of staff handing bills out and interacting with other patrons at the bar around us, and after ten minutes of not being spoken to or being able to catch the attention of any members of staff (including the cluster still standing by the host station having the same conversation we felt we’d interrupted by walking in), a trivia night that we had no idea how to participate in began (we knew this was an event kind of place, I love trivia, would have been nice to have been able to join). So we walked out.
Ended up ordering from there last night anyway because I still very much wanted to try the food (and we’d never actually gotten to celebrate what we went out to dinner for in the first place), and I’ve spent the entirety of today with what I assume is food poisoning.
Weirdly enough, the reviews that say the food is good aren’t incorrect, and I’m assuming the stomach issues might be a fluke as I don’t see anyone else complaining of quality issues, but the ones that complain about the service? We felt ignored and ostracized, and there were plenty of people standing literally feet from us that could have fixed that.

Best food in Binghamton in my opinion. The seasoned fries are top notch, and that chipotle crema? I'll take a gallon of that. The menu is very well thought out and put together. The Garage really knows how to use flavors and ingredients to their potential, and the drinks are always great. Love that most menu items can be accommodated to vegetarians/vegans and the GF gang. Keep it up!

We were in Binghamton and Garage was close to our hotel and dog friendly and oh yeah we love tacos and margs! It had just rained but the staff was kind enough to give us some towels to dry off the outdoor seating.

We were starving after a long day of traveling so we ordered chips and queso, a shrimp taco meal, Barbacoa taco meal and the absolutely necessary margarita. The food came out quick and it was good. The chips were fresh and the queso was creamy and had just enough zip. The taco meals were filling and had some yummy rice and beans to accompany the tacos. The shrimp was cooked well and was flavorful. The barbacoa was tender and flavorful, the twist is that it was cooked with Dr. Pepper.

On top of the delicious food we had an amazing experience from the wonderful staff. They were beyond attentive, kind and checked on us several times. They made sure our dog had water, we had enough chips and beverages and that we were enjoying our meal. The host was actually a cook who was not able to cook right now due to a wrist injury but he was a phenomenal server/ host and even brought out some yummy home made hot sauce that is made here on site. The only bad part of this meal is that it’s not close to home.

Really fun location right in downtown. Cool eclectic rehabbed garage. The tacos were great and my kids loved the corn dogs. Full bar also. Public parking lot across the street was expensive, try and find on street parking

Food was inventive and tasty, but not too different from traditional Mexican fare (some places try to go to far in their quest to be unique!) Food and drinks were reasonably priced. Service was friendly. Will be back!

Amazing gem of a place! If this was Brookyln there would be lines around the block.

I had the shrimp tacos which were perfect. Side salad was delish too. Yummy Sangria.

Great vibe. Super cool and unexpected music. Really nice staff too.

I live in NYC but will be back again!
