Stopped by to look at some cars and I didn't even pull completely off the road and a salesman was walking out the door and to me. I found that excessive and annoying. Then he got my name wrong, even after looking at my driver's license.

Bought a Lexus is350 about a month ago. Check engine light comes on and off every couple weeks. I brought it to their attention “they don’t work on Lexus, make an appointment across the street (bob Johnson Lexus) “ finally had the scheduled appointment today, the warranty doesn’t cover the (manifold to center pipe leak) which is causing the check engine light. They won’t help me because the check engine light wasn’t on when I purchased the vehicle. But came on a few days after, immediately brought it to their attention. If you’re going to buy a car, just buy new. Will never purchase from this dealership again, nothing but problems. And managers who don’t want to do what’s best for their customers
Fast service and nice people. They have a new thing where they video and explain what was done with your car.

I just recently purchased a 2020 Honda Pilot from Garber. I wasn't planning to because I had already started an online purchase for one from an online dealer. Then I saw Garber had a similar one for a similar price. I called Garber right away and spoke with salesman James Brodsky. He was super friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with my kids! He was able to show it to me right away and take it for a test drive. Afterwards, I told him if he could match the deal I already had online for the vehicle and my trade, I would buy it from them that day. James made it happen! I was there for about an hour, made an appointment to return at 4pm to pick it up and spent a few more minutes to sign paperwork and I was on my way! Easiest car purchase ever and from a local business. If you are in the market for a new vehicle go see James at Garber!
My better half and I went in to look at a vehicle we were considering- Joe, our salesman, was courteous and professional, graciously answered all our questions, and warmly welcomed us to return as we got closer to finalizing our purchase decision. A great team and a great experience!
Garber service was awful. Called to schedule a timing belt repair and provided my car details and information. When I arrived I was quoted at 1400 dollars. Repair exceeded the amount of time estimated at $1900. Not only was the price increased, I had a leak in a hose that I had to repair myself, coolent was spraying all over my engine compartment. A friend of mine told me her car was released by Garber Honda with safety issues. I would avoid Garber for repairs and go to other shops.
Garber was fantastic with the whole process of ordering our new car from Garber Porsche! Tim helped my Husband and was very quick to follow up on any questions we had and continuously updated him as well! I would definitely recommend and use Garber and go through Tim again! Thank you Tim!
All of my experiences here have been positive. The sales people, associates, and all of the employees have been courteous and professional. It is convienent having both the dealership and their collision center right next to each other! I hope to continue my business here as the need arrises.

Disappointing price gouging due to covid supply chain
Pros: Our sales person was friendly, willing to follow up, and negotiate
Cons: Out of 4 dealers (IDE Honda, Bob Johnson Toyota, and Bob Johnson Mazda), Garber is trying to take the most advantage of customers:
*They have newspaper articles lined up on their desks to put in fear of higher prices and chip shortages
*They started pricing $2000 on top of MSRP - no other area dealer we went to did this.
*This was not just our experience, but other customers have complained to other dealers, which they are using as sales tactics against Garber (we were told by another dealer about the $2k markup before we even disclosed our offer).
Tips to buyers committed to shopping at Garber or they have a very specific car you want - they are willing to negotiate at least down to MSRP, you just have to push hard and leave (you can't just walk in and buy the car you want for a fair price). In my opinion, not worth the effort to just get a fair price.
From a business perspective, I understand this markup strategy may be the best decision for Garber to maximize profit in the short term. However, I will be up for a new vehicle myself in another year or two and will not be returning to Garber. I've also retold our experience to friends and coworkers, which will likely dissuade them of shopping at Garber.
