Gardenia Terrace, New York NY

Visiting NYC and came here for dinner. The food was really good, we got varying platters and each was good. The shisha was okay and the ventilation inside the restaurant wasn’t the best.

I had a late night dinner after a concert, they had couple of good Mediterranean dishes. I personally don't prefer a restaurant filled with hookah smell, but if you do enjoy hookah, they had couple of options.

Very nice place for freinds/ dates.

Good food, good vibes.
20% from the bill went for gratitude without questions.
Even this reason I will come back again.

Great atmosphere, decent hookah as well. Food was ok, nothing incredible but it fits the bill. The DJ was really good, the music wasn’t too loud but it added a lot to the ambiance.

This place is amazing, the food is delicious, the vibe is good not to crowded. But if it gets crowded leave it to the wonderful and friendly staff to handle it very well.
My go to hookah place in the city.

I like the fact that there is Russian-speaking staff. A great opportunity not to forget your native language

The manager here is very rude. He did not handle a situation between my party and the bouncer well at all. He approached us with complete attitude was not friendly at all and when we confronted him about his attitude and for being unprofessional he denied us service. Do not recommend this place for anyone from out of state. They couldn’t find the birthday on our driver license and kicked us out and we’re rude for trying to help show where the date was. Terrible service

Hey there! Just wanted to share a quick experience with you. During the day shift at this place, the staff is really polite and provides excellent service with positive vibes. However, I wanted to caution you about the night shift. I've found that the girls at the registration desk can be quite rude and unwelcoming. Personally, I wouldn't recommend going there overnight. This place has terrible service, the manager was extremely rude and got in my friends face because the bouncer was not doing his job correctly to check IDs. We were there 2 hours before and came back again.

The service was basically nonexistent and when they did come they were less than pleasant. In addition to the terrible service there is an automatic 20% service fee.

Not good if you have any type of dietary restriction. The server was diligent in taking the order about a change for an allergy, confirmed the allergy to us at the table, and then the chef completely disregarded it.

Hookahs are good but pricey! It is NYC after all. Sit outside if you don’t like loud music on the weekends.

The food was delicious. This was my second time coming here. However, I think they would benefit from a section without hookah or allow people to be outdoors if the smell is overwhelming. To post signs on the dangers of hookah and secondhand smoke and not offer an alternative option I think is a bit unfair. That being said the food is good and the waitress was super nice. We ended up just having our starter and then leaving with our main course to go. The first time we came this was not an issue at all. But that may have been the day/time. I asked to speak with the manager to give this feedback but unfortunately they were not available.

Food is the worst. The service is extremely bad specially from there manager (lebanese or middle eastern). Arrogant and u have to pay him under the table to get a table. Totally not worth it.

My husband and I visited Gardenia Terrace on a birthday trip to NYC on May 14,2023. We already had dinner and had made a reservation for a table at Gardenia. We got our choice of table, however we quickly realized the speakers were facing right at us and the music was extremely loud. We couldn't even hear each other at the same table, so we asked to move. Our waitress showed us to another table away from the speaker. We ordered a hookah (Summer Fling) and a virgin drink (virgin mojito). It took a while to get the waitresses to take our order and honestly interact with us at all. The hookah was way too minty and died way too fast. The menu also doesn't state that they use a pineapple head for their hookahs. We only got one coal change and we had to ask for it over the 2 hours we were there. It wasn't a busy night but for some reason we were having to flag down the waitress every time we needed something because no one was checking on us. It's a cool spot with decent hookah but customer service wasn't there.
