Garland City Beer Works, Watertown NY

Hosted welcome drinks here the night before our wedding and were very happy with the service! Solid craft beer and the charcuterie was tasty.

This was our first visit since last fall and in the past I've had a great experience going there to eat, but we went tonight and it was a very different story.

I'd say who our waitress was but she never gave us her name. We were seated at a table with a view of the heat lamps by the kitchen and we watched as our food sat there and the waitress walked by it repeatedly.

BOTH MEALS WERE COLD! With the fries being the only exception.

-The bun on my girlfriends sandwich was so soaked through that it was turning to mush in her hand from the first time she picked it up. She ordered the Chipotle Ranch Sandwich from the specials and it just tasted like taco seasoning on it with no sign of ranch.

-Almost the entirety of the sauce had fallen off the wings and were just a puddle on the plate under it. The wings themselves were some of the best I'd seen around here, but were completely ruined by being cold and having just a thin layer of sauce on the place.

If it was busier I would of understood, but I counted it and there were only 10 tables with 2 waitresses on and at least 2 of the other tables were just drinking and going to the bar.

If you're going to go there for food I'd wait a while and see if this kitchen and wait staff rotates out.

What great find. Stopped in here from Kingston Ontario. Great food, great beer and service was spectacular. Tyler was great. Thanks for making our lunch brak so much fun.

I've never been a fan of craft beer places, but this establishment deserves a 5/5. The staff was extremely friendly regardless of how busy they were, and they were very busy. Kristin was behind the bar and gave me good recommendations like the cranberry cider and the pineapple sour, which were both phenomenal. Stephanie was also behind the bar and was very friendly to talk to. The owner was pleasant to be around as well and had a good conversation with us. Tyler was a server and continued to check up on my buddy and I at the bar even though we weren't tasked to him and was very polite. Madison was another server who had a great sense of human (good weather joke) and an absolutely gorgeous smile the entire time. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants good craft beers with friendly staff as well.

Most of the negative reviews of this place revolve around it being busy, which is expected with a 5/5 rated establishment. You can ignore most negative reviews due to these reasons. It gets busy because it's a great place. It happens. I still had an amazing time, regardless. I can't wait to come back.

The Benway Burger was FANTASTIC and came with a MOUNTAIN of fries!

Pints of Das Bier and Hefeweizen were enough to show me I need to come back when I've got time to eat and drink MORE!

I'm from out of town and had just driven many miles prior to arriving in town in hopes of having a delicious beer before going to my lodging. I entered the brewery and the bar was very slow. The bartender did not appear to be in a welcoming or jovial mood. After ordering my beer I asked to pay for my beer. The bartender rudely stated that they cannot do credit cards sales for under $10. The bartender then suggested that I use their ATM of which I responded that I have no interest in paying for a machine to give me my own money back for a fee. I asked if there was a sign stating their credit card rules and she pointed towards a small sign in a darkened corner that I would have never seen nor would anyone else. I asked to see a manager and she gruffly stated she was the manager. I then asked to see an owner and none were available. With some sense of friendliness this could have easily been resolved - I did not touch my beer and I left this brewery knowing I would never return. I went to Spokes downtown and they were delighted to have me. Please consider putting a sign on the front door or on line where it is very visible and consider hiring a manager with a welcoming and positive attitude that treats out of town guests with hospitality rather than as uninformed fools. Cute place! I do t drink beer but they have a full bar and I myself had the cider it was fantastic. The food is delicious and reasonably priced.my husband and I had a brisket sandwich with fries we shared it plenty to share.friend cheese curb and a pretzel only 47$ our server was great she’s a teacher and works one day a week there. She was helpful and knowledgeable

Good beer, excellent food (get the cheese curds) and super friendly service. A nice find with the family on a random day out in Watertown.

The food and trivia games were nice. The down side was that the server had too many tables to care for. This is proven by the fact we were there for around three hours and were only served three beers. This was not a choice, it was because it took so long for our server to check on us and then to put in our order and return with our drinks. I don't know if this level of service is common here, but it left a bad taste in our mouths
***This is an update from my previous review. We went back again for trivia night and had a much better experience. Tyler our server was amazing and took care of us very well. I am glad that we gave it another try.

Our favorite place to visit. Food is great. The atmosphere is perfect and we love our bartender and servers! A must visit

I recently hosted my rehearsal dinner on the patio at Garland City Beer Works. I had communicated with Mary to get it all set-up. Coming from DC, I wasn't able to try the food ahead of time, but Mary was fantastic in working with me to put together a fantastic event despite the distance! I ended up choosing an open bar and an Italian buffet dinner, and it was amazing! The food was absolutely fantastic. The patio was gorgeous. It was hot out, but the patio's shading kept us comfortable. The drinks were fantastic, with my group particularly favoring the Empress Rosemary. My husband and prefer sour beers, and they had an excellent selection. The waitstaff was phenomenal-they were present and incredibly attentive but not overbearing. It turned out absolutely perfectly, and I would highly recommend this location for a rehearsal dinner.

Server was great but the kitchen is not able to handle the amount of people there. Food was just okay. Beer was good! Atmosphere was also great

Parked at the bar, the bartenders were awesome and attentive and provided great recommendations. Got the junkyard dog, I’m a fan.

The beer menu offers some of the best beers Upstate NY has to offer. Meanwhile, there food remains an absolute disaster. Skip the food and enjoy a good drink.

We normally go for trivia on Wednesday nights and always have a blast:) The atmosphere is great and the service is amazing.

An awful experience! Unfortunately. We waited 30 minutes for the waitress to take our order. It took 2 hours for the whole family (4 orders) to get their meals. 1 star for the IPA beer. 1 star for the waitress apologizing the entire time. You got me on this one garland city beer works. Never again. Maybe others will have better luck than us.

The food is absolutely disgusting. No flavor at all. The fries didn’t even come salted. The beer battered fish was bland. The drinks were very over priced. Our waitress seemed unimpressed we even wanted to order food. We had drinks and she came over and said “ do you want to order or do you just wanna hangout” like we hadn’t already ordered $15 drinks Never ever will go back. Spent $50 on food that was disgusting and had to go to get food after

Great place. Industrial warehouse decor. Craft beer and great food. Best smoked brisket sandwich i have ever had. My wife loved the Mahi Mahi fish tacos. Service was terrific.

Beer is very good. Food quality can be hit or miss. Their wings are the worst that I’ve hade in a long time. It was their GCBW hot sauce, which I believe was a green chile sauce with no flavor. I was very disappointed.

Great service and great brunch! We took our family who came to visit to sunday brunch and we were all very satisfied! Will be making Garland City Beer Works our new Sunday spot for sure
